I'm a newbie PokeDad trying to follow all this to help keep my kids competitive. A few questions.

    1) Aside from a bunch of the Trainers/Supporters/Energies, is the bottom line then anything earlier than D&P is being rotated and you should just dump those cards?

1B) If true on #1, what about the rule if you have an older release of the same Pokemon. Can you not still play it as long as you have the Pokedex for the text from the new card? Or do people not bother with that and just get the new card, or is even that rule thrown out this time around?

    2) Are the values of the EX cards going to plummet mid-late August, or have they already gone down, or do they not drop that much due to collectable value?

    3) (sidebar) I see that Promo Lv.X cards sell for much less than the non-Promos. Is it because the Promos are easier to find and not as collectible, or is it because D&P Promo Cards aren't playable like World Championship reprints?

Thanks for throwing me a bone!

    1. Yes.

1B. No, there's no such rule around. It's pretty much that, if an EXACT copy doesn't exist in D&P-on, it's off-limits.

    2. EX card prices seem to go down as newer sets come out, so option #2.

    3. The promo LV.X come in a $15-20 tin, so yes, they sell for less because they are much easier to find.
