    Hey guys I'm having trouble installing a forum. i have all of the files up but then it takes me to this installation page. I took a screeny to show you what ut looks like: https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v330/saulito/PokeCommunity/php.png

    I dont know what i have to fill in though can someone help? I won't post the link cause it's against rules but if U know how to fill those out than can you please tell me? :D

    The database config. is what I'm having trouble with.
     
    You need to know the name of your mySQL database and your UN/pass for the database. Dhost isn't exactly good for forums though- lots of timeouts because the server's REALLY slow.

    You're better off getting a host with decent speed and cPanel.
     
    yup, what they all said...

    but if you must continue, you'll need to create (or have your host create) a MySQL database with your username, password and database name (or have him send you that info..) then you enter that into that install form.. and continue on.. it will check the db and pre-populate it, and continue with the board setup.
     
    if your on dhost, the database is your username; the database username is your username; and your password is your ftp password
     
    for me if my database username is Jeremy and the database is Jeremy then both would be like pokemon706_Jeremy
     
    Try both of them, i believe pokemon706_Jeremy would be correct. That is, if your username for your website is pokemon706 :) Just try it. If it gives you an error, it won't kill anything.
