Issue: 25 char rule in VMs? o_O

So I was VMing someone, the message I wrote is "Well, not yet". I edited the VM and changed it to "Well, not yet. I". (So that 25 char box thing will appear again :P) I finally got a screenshot of it.

Sometimes when I have a perfectly good post, it comes up with a box saying;
'The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters.'
I normally just refresh and try again.
Is it bothering you?

yeah that happens when you go into advanced mode, you just gotta know how to bypass it ;3

For VMs that rule had been around until a while back the higher staff decided to remove it. Seeing as what Zet has said above, you must still follow it in advanced mode. Though, there are ways to by pass, that I do know for sure.

As for regular posting in a thread, whether in Quick Reply or Advanced Mode you always have to follow the 25 Character Rule.

Well that happens when you go to advanced mode to edit it. It always happens to me too. To bypass it you could always try to edit it like this:

I post all my visitor messages in Advanced Mode and have never had this problem arise.

Oh I see. Well you could try clearing your cache. What internet do you use?

Also, you could try spacing out and then put a (.) dot or something like that.

yes that will happen, if that's the case just press space bar a few times between two words and you'll be fine

Yeah, Rukario must have forgotten to fix that. I'm sure he'll get to fixing it if he sees this thread.

As Zet said, just hold the spacebar for a bit and it will work.

not sure what's up.. there really isn't an option for VM minimum characters.. only one is the board-wide (posts) one.. It could be a cookie problem or the advanced edit is thinking its doing a regular post.

I'll have to look in to this a bit more to be sure, so hang on a bit... in the mean time, just edit as everyone has said above OR, better yet, make longer VM messages :p
