I havent seen any challenges that has to do with abilities so here it it!

    Ruby: syphilis/guts and cute charm

    Saphire:

    Emerald:

    LeafGreen:

FireRed: Mondayssuck/Shed Skin and Keen Eye

You are allowed to trade over one pokemon

This is now a Duo Challenge

this could become a monotype real quick, but i'll still try it.

i'll do guts in ruby. probably end up having swellow, hariyama, and machamp.

I know it could, but its a unique challenge.Do ypu think I should change it to a duo ability chalenge?

duo ability might be better. i think a bigger problem is the limitations of each region, though. maybe you could allow one pokemon from a different region with the ability to be cheated/hacked in?

I updated it to Duo Ability and added "You are allowed to trade over one pokemon"

So is it Dou or Mono now? If it's Mono, i will try Shed Skin in FR. Even though i'm aware that this will be HELL before i get Ekans...
If it's Dou, my other ability will be Keen Eye.

hm, ok. my second ability will be cute charm. i'll trade over a clefairy from firered.

    oh hey, i started.

-chose the female character, named her Maria.
-started off with torchic and did as little fighting as possible with her.
-caught a taillow in the forest, named her lul.
-lul beat all the trainers i skipped.
-caught a slakoth to trade for a MAKIT
-beat some more trainers and got to rustboro
    -traded slakoth for MAKIT.
-trained MAKIT until it learned arm thrust
-got poisoned by a wurmple and preserved it for the gym battle
-it didn't work, but MAKIT leveled up and stopped obeying me.
-decided to train it anyway since i had no other choice.
    -it eventually learned vital throw
-tried to beat roxanne again and did. MAKIT listened to me for the most part.
-got back that guy's goods from team magma.
-searched for a skitty for about half an hour, then i caught one and named it kitteh
-returned the goods, got the pokenav
-sailed to dewford and obtained a silk scarf

    Team:
    lul lvl 20
    (Adamant)
    *pokemonelite2000 image removed*
    Wing Attack
    Double Team
    Focus Energy
    Quick Attack

kitteh lvl 12 @ Silk Scarf
    (Hardy)
    "image removed"
    Tackle
    Growl
    Tail Whip
    Attract

MAKIT lvl 16 OT/ELYSSA (fun fact: ELYSSA is also the OT of CH'DING. i wish i didn't know that offhand.)
    (Hardy)
    "image removed"
    Tackle
    Focus Energy
    Vital Throw
    Arm Thrust

MAKIT isn't staying on my team, i'll be catching a different (better) makuhita soon.

I didn't forget about this, I just didn't start before today.
Started with Squirtle, lost first battle against Bulbasaur. Did story progress. Caught Pidgeys. Already the second one was Adamant. Grinded Pidgey to level 6, which was not easy because I caught it at level 2.
Went looking for a Spearow, but didn't find any, only Rattatas and Mankeys. A lot of them.
Changed my mind and beat people in Viridian Forest instead, and later, my rival. Failed to beat Brock's underling, I didn't know he has a Geodude in FRLG...
Need to do some more grinding before challinging the underling and Brock again, at least to level 18... Or maybe try to poison the Rocks with a Kakuna...

    Spoiler:

That's supposed to be ONE spoiler, but it always divides itself for no reason...

Update: Beat Brock by using the above mentioned Kakuna method. I took a Lv.5 Weedle I had previously caught from the box and bait-and-switch trained until Pidgey evolved. It were just 2 levels for Pidgey, but it took eternally. Then, I beat both the underling and Brock with Sand-Attack and Poison. Just for fun, I did even let Kakuna out after poisoning Onix, and it hardened and survived. The only thing I lost in the battle were two Potions for Pidgeotto, Onix had some luck against it. I just had to screenshot it, since I never beat Brock using a Kakuna before, only with Beedrill...
    [PokeCommunity.com] 3 Gen. Mono-Ability Challenge

Then I boxed Kakuna and passed Mt.Moon. Now, at Cerulean, I caught my next team member, an Ekans. Didn't take too long to get the right one.

    Spoiler:
Update:Apparently I don't learn from my mistakes at all. I had arrived at Celadon after struggling a lot in Rock Tunnel because Arbok (yes, Ekans evolved somewhere in Vermilion) sucks most of the time and Pidgeot (I think it's still Pidgeotto at that point) has a major type disadvantage and was about to buy a Dratini. Its nature was not good, so I SRd, and of course I hadn't saved again, and am now standing in front of Rock Tunnel again. I'll post my team later, not now...
More Update: The save was not completely before Rock Tunnel, I already had defeated most of the trainers in there so it wasn't too much to repeat. Beat rival in Lavender and went to Celadon. SRd hundreds and thousands of times (ok, not thousands, but definetely hundrets, it was horrible) for a modest Dratini, apparently they are as rare as shinys... Went to Saffron and beat the Karate Gym, Adamant Hitmonchan wasn't too hard to get, only something like 10 SRs.
Saved after finally nicknaming my now completed (and 75% Adamant) team.

    Team:
    [PokeCommunity.com] 3 Gen. Mono-Ability Challenge

    Columbidae / Pidgeot m Lv.43 @ /
    Adamant Nature / Keen Eye
    - Aerial Ace
    - Sand Attack
    - Secret Power
    - Fly
Once again, Fly is taking my bird's last moveslot, but the movepool isn't the greatest anyway. But Pidgeot still rocks, I honestly didn't expect that.
I'm pretty sure the nickname (which is from Wikipedia because i was running out of ideas) is gramatically wrong (looks like plural, not singular), does anyone here speak Latin?
    [PokeCommunity.com] 3 Gen. Mono-Ability Challenge

    Fail. / Arbok f Lv.31 @ /
    Adamant Nature / Shed Skin
    - HP Fighting
    - Glare
    - Rock Slide
    - Dig
Yes it does. The HP sounds cool, but its power is around 30, so it isn't cool. Dig sucks with 60 Power and Rock Slide... It's wasted on this thing.
    [PokeCommunity.com] 3 Gen. Mono-Ability Challenge

    Wyrm / Dratini f Lv.18 @ /
    Modest Nature / Shed Skin
    - Shock Wave
    - Water Pulse
    - Thunder Wave
    - Twister
Like I said before, it took eternally to get this thing in modest... And I'll need an Everstone for this some time...
    [PokeCommunity.com] 3 Gen. Mono-Ability Challenge

    weißt du noch, Vitali? / Hitmonchan m Lv.25 @ /
    Adamant Nature / Keen Eye
    - Rock Tomb
    - Agility
    - Brick Break
    - Mach Punch
I really should have given Rock Slide to this guy, and not to Failbok...

it is plural, unless it's a noun that's always in its plural form. "columbida" would (should...) be singular.

annyyywayyyy, i restarted my game because it was on a real game and i didn't like playing it at the normal speed, so now i'm playing on a rom. but it's totally legal because i have the actual game. seriously.

i'm actually in exactly the same spot i was on the other file: in that stupid cave looking for another stupid makuhita. i found one though, but it is NO better than the traded one.

the roxanne battle was fun and abusive (to my f5 key), using skitty's assist to get arm thrust from the traded makuhita. pretty genius if i do say so myself, which i do say. i say it. i'm a genius.

    Team:

I beat everything on the land (except for of course victory road and giovanni's gym) and the sea route between Fuschia and Seafoam. Currently on the way to Cinnabar.
    Spoiler:
    Spoiler:
    Update: Beat the Elite 4.
Lorelei: Hitmonchan swept her. Only Slowbro caused problems.
Bruno: Pidgeot for Fighting types, Dragonair for the Onixes.
Agatha: Difficult. Pidgeot and Dragonair had some trouble with the Gengars, the rest was easy.
Lance: Dragonair swept half of his team with ease, but died to a crit outrage from Dragonite (which got outspeeded, but took an Ice Beam). Pidgeot killed Dragonite and Aero.
Rival (forgot his name): OHKO fest. Dragonair killed Pidgeot and Gyara, Pidgeot killed Alakazam, Dragonair killed Rhydon and Arcanine (Arcanine almost killed it), Pidgeot killed Venusaur.

already have 60 Pokemon, so I can immediately go to Oak and then do the Sevii Islands missons.

    1st Hall of Fame Team:
    [PokeCommunity.com] 3 Gen. Mono-Ability Challenge

    Columbidae / Pidgeot m Lv.61 @ Leftovers
    Adamant Nature / Keen Eye
    - Aerial Ace
    - Steel Wing
    - Return
    - Fly
The most balanced member of my team. Not as versatile as Dragonair and not as much sheer power as Hitmonchan, but still my MVP.
Even Steel Wing did something for me, it beat Lance's Aero.
    [PokeCommunity.com] 3 Gen. Mono-Ability Challenge

    Wyrm / Dragonair f Lv.61 @ Everstone
    Modest Nature / Shed Skin
    - Thunderbolt
    - Surf
    - Ice Beam
    - Flamethrower
Cool movepool, but due to being NFE, it sometimes lacks some power.
    [PokeCommunity.com] 3 Gen. Mono-Ability Challenge

    Vitali / Hitmonchan m Lv.61 @ Leftovers
    Adamant Nature / Keen Eye
    - Earthquake
    - Bulk Up
    - Brick Break
    - Mach Punch
I kept Mach Punch and not Rock Tomb because otherwise stuff like Jynx would beat this. And Rock Tomb never hits anyway.
The weakest of my teammembers, due to its lack of coverage.

    U
pdate: Finished the Sevii Islands and beat the Elite 4 a second time.

Lorelei: Same as before, Hitmonchan swept her
    Bruno: Easy as always
Agatha: Once again, annoying but not too hard.
Lance: Dragonair beat 2 of his Pokemon and severely injured Kingdra, but died. Pidgeot killed Kingdra and the second Dragonite, Hitmonchan beat Aero.
Rival: Hera and Tar were easy, they have 4x weaks to abuse. Arcanine again caused trouble, but again, my Pokemon, Hitmonchan this time, won. Gyara was by far the most annoying. It could barely survive a T-Bolt from Dragonair, and he used like 5 Full Restores on it. Took a while to die. Alakazam and Venusaur were beaten by Pidgeot, quite easily.
    [PokeCommunity.com] 3 Gen. Mono-Ability Challenge

Final team is the same as above, but all are level 74.
