Im only new but everyone is so super friendly already and its great that people are so supportive of LGBT people.
I actually feel relieved reading this thread as I didnt mention my sexuality and in real life I would feel so scared telling my parents as they are very homophobic.

I also think "gaymer" is really creative and original! It sounds really cool! (I would use it by my parents don't approve of gaming. XD)
