    What were our first impressions when GameFreak had begun utilizing models starting in XY rather than sprites? Were we able to efficiently adapt to the change?
     
    They're very high quality models and they did a good job adapting the official art style in a much better representation than most Pokémon games with 3D graphics released before or after.
     
    Like Cooltrainer said, the models in these games adapt the art style of the official artworks in a better way than the other games that rendered Pokemon models in 3D, like Colosseum, XD and Battle Revolution which still had flaws with their models.
