3DS Problem?

This may sound like a dumb question but I haven't turned on my 3ds in 3 years and I'm wondering how long should it take to charge... The charging port looks ok but I'm not sure if I should buy a new battery, port, etc. I want to get this 3ds working so I can play some pokemon games.

I usually drain the battery completely after prolonged periods of time without use, then I fully charge it.

It should work like a charm.

Alright, thanks for the response. I'll charge it for a few hours and see what happens there. But when you charge yours, does the light come on or does it take time
