4th Gen 3rd and 4th gen pokemon 2 be in hg ss

I hope not, since they weren't around in G/S/C's time. Then again, I did enjoy FR/LG with Johto Pokemon...

They might do it like how D/P/PT was.
I mean, they had their own generation, but they had Pokemon from every region available.
They could somehow incorporate the GBA slot stuff.

After viewing the updated Johto Pokedex, I don't think we'll be seeing any 3rd/4th gen Pokemon before obtaining the national Dex. Though, it would be nice if we could encounter one of those Pokemon using the PokeRadar or by having a GBA game cartridge in the DS like the person before me said. I doubt it would happen. It would be nice to be able to get an Ambipom to battle the Elite Four with...

They will come after the national dex no question no debate it will happen it is just the way it is. For Example after obtaining the national dex the bug catching contest will just have more pokemon appearing and in the jhoto route more pokemon will show up and the game might include the pokerader and that might make more pokemon appear

I know people are talking about this "nostalgia" thing, but do you honestly remember every detail about the originals and what made you happy and what didn't? Hearing the music and being able to start with Chikorita again is nostalgia enough for me. The music hasn't even changed. (Except maybe altered a bit, but still same rhythm.) Seeing 3rd/4th gen Pokemon won't ruin my nostalgic dream. Pokemon that could be available in Bug Catching Contest after National Dex is obtained: Combee, Burmy, Volbeat, Illumise, Beautifly, Dustox, Surskit, Nincada, Skorupi.

It makes perfect sense. Look at FireRed/LeafGreen; they had 3 generations then, and they left out all the generation 3's. There is no point in adding in the new generation pokes if they are in a game that the remake is compatible with. Sure, they may leave spots in the National Dex for them, but there is no point in putting them in the wild where there could be the older ones.
yeah but they still added a gen! XP

I loved how I explained things in the first post and it gets ignored...
[PokeCommunity.com] 3rd and 4th gen pokemon 2 be in hg ss

Look. Old numbering. Hoenn/Sinnoh after national. So yeah you guys wanna speculate bout the national dex?

I now its very unlikely, but they could add the things onto the end like they did with the new additions to platinum...

Why don't you people like hoenn and sinnoh pokemon?
sinnoh pokemon are just the best!
However they should'nt really put them in before the national Dex exept for the Kanto/Johto evolves like Mismagius and Weavile.
Then after the national dex the hoenn and sinnoh pokemon should be in kanto and some in johto
but I'm wondering how the hoenn legendaries (Kyogre,groudon.latias/os)

Im totaly agree with you their, kyorge roams after you get the national dex in hg and ground in ss plus i dont think they will but the sinnho evols beause in fr and lg when golbat was about to evolve into crobat it stoped in the prosess.....

I really want to have just Kanto and Johto pokémon first in it, but when I think that then I can't evolve Yanma to Yanmega and it just stops evolving I want those evolutions like they should be. I really don't want Hoenn and Sinnoh pokémon be found in Kanto or Johto they should have own place, there's new places they could be there. I didn't like Fire Red and Leaf Green because they stopped my pokémon evolutions and it's worst when I hack Fire Red, I have to put National Dex to player :( Then I didn't like Sevii Islands those are pretty meanless because you could find only few Johto and Hoenn pokémons there and that place didn't have so much more things... (You could find Ruby and Sapphire from there and Team Rocket's hideout and Battle place, but that's everything important) I want in HeartGold and SoulSilver that they make more Hoenn and Sinnoh pokémon to catch but they have to have own place not too big but not too small. And it has to be better place than Sevii Islands that really was worst place in FR & LG I never want to go there again. (They shouldn't make those to game...) So here's my speech and I hope that they make games better (but it really doesn't matter so much because I am going to play HG & SS much because Gold is best game ever, I want that HG is even better!)

How would that work? Any Sinnoh Pokemon at the end would be the evolutions/pre-evolutions and even then that couldn't work seeing how they would need to be near their respective Johto/Kanto Pokemon...

Im pretty sure you would have to trade or transfer them over if its like Leafeon, Glaceon, Probopass, etc.
Others will probably just end up running around Johto somewhere.

Here is what I think:

When you are playing the main story, you won't be able to get any 3rd and 4th gen Pokemon.

After you are finished with the main story, you won't be getting any Sinnoh Pokemon, but maybe a few Hoenn Pokemon in some special area or through some swarm system.

Why do I think this?

Because it was the same in FR/LG. GameFreak always recycles their ideas.
Another point is that Sinnoh Pokemon are available on other games of the same generation. GameFreak still wants you to play these.

I'd really like to have some more Pokemons, first since the 2nd generation was really tiny, secondly cause we played the hell out of 1st gen, and thirdly because it'd help to improve the level of the game. I don't think it would hurt to see a new Eevee girl with Leafeon, or a Salamance instead one Dragonite for Lance, or even an extra Staravia for the poor Falkner. Cause it'll make it more unique. Hell I don't want it to be a pure remake, I want it to be even more enjoyable than the first, second and third time around in the Johto games. Nostalgia can be a matter on the first time you'll play that game. But after one time, you'll stay there, with nothing to do, only a half Pokedex filled (or less) unless you trade, you'll trade all the Johto dex to Platinum and forget the game. I don't want it to be like that, like FRLG pretty much were (the islands were a ridiculous excuse to catch a few Johto pokes), they better do it a better game, not a "catch all the lacking pokes" game, IMO.

Oh, and, we probably won't get them with numbers on the pre-National dex if we'll even get it, but I do want, like many others here, the evolutions of Kanto/Johto Pokemons in 3rd/4th gens, again to make it more interesting and awesome.

Reading through this thread I have noticed a couple of people saying something like "That was in G/S/C, the Sinnoh Pokemon didn't exist then!" and so on. Couple of things to say about that. In the real world, yes, it's true, Nintendo/GameFreak hadn't yet come up with the Hoenn/Sinnoh Pokemon when they produced Gold, Silver and Crystal (DOH). However, in the universe of the games, "The World of Pokemon" so to speak, it's completely logical to think that they actually did exist. For example, in the anime, and even in the games in places (Especially when dealing with fossils and stuf), we sometimes hear characters talk "Thousands of years" or "Ancient Pokemon", indicating that like in the real world, new species evolve gradually over long periods of time and don't magically jump into existence. What we're talking about with the games is a measly 3 year difference in timeline, do you really think new species of Pokemon just "pop" into existence like that, yes, even in this crazy universe Satoshi Tajiri-san came up with! :P
The Sinnoh region also didn't just come about during those 3 years, even for the people in the Pokemon universe it'd take decades to build up cities and those things.
I think it's entirely reasonable to assume that within the Pokemon universe, in which the games take place, all the regions exist, all the Pokemon exist, they just don't exist in the same place. Like in the real world, even before people in Europe knew anything about Australia, there were both humans and animals there, doing their thing while the Europeans of that time did their thing in Europe. Even today, there are species of animals, like Kangaroos, that are unique to Australia and don't exist in the wild (Read: Outside of a zoo) anywhere else in the world. I think it's entirely logical and reasonable that a similar phenomenon take place in the universe of the Pokemon games.

Just my two cents.
