    [PokeCommunity.com] 5/15 - COTD -  Infernape Lv. X (DP: Diamond & Pearl)

    Rate & Review.

    Thanks to Water Pokemon Master from www.pokebeach.com for the scan.

    These cards will be replacing EX cards, so let's see what you guys think of these little monsters.

    Burning head works very well with this, and I'm sure there's another fire-type that this combos with. Arcanine ex, I think, or Typhlosion ex. But if you're up against a little Pokémon, you're gonna have to retreat if possible. Should be easy given the retreat cost. :P

    This card is screwed up... Pair it up with the red Gyarados (and Delcatty ex) then it's not a game anymore...

    -1/10 - what's the point in making these screwed up cards anyway...

    Guess that Infernape is suppose to be valued for its pokepower mainly... technically, it is giving you a free draw, but then again drawing power is not exactly lacking in Pokemon TCG anyway with all those hand-refilling trainers. Perhaps it'll a bit more sense in a DP-only format when there's less cards to draw with... ^^;

    It's interesting, and the power definitely goes with the attack. I can see a lot of people playing this card, but I'd like to know what the regular Infernape has.

    Thanks :3 As you may have guessed, DP isn't out here yet (it comes out June 28, they said they have to wait until the game's out).

    ... alright, I see broken-ness. >O Discard [R] energy and then use an attack that counts on it being in the discard pile. >_> And free retreat, too.

    It's not broken. It's a stage 2, so it'll be mid-importance before it even gets out. It's first attack is a gamble, and good players don't play stage 2's that gamble. It's second can only be used every other turn, an average of 45 damage a turn. Not good enough. Free retreat is all right for it, but it would get knocked out before it made itself useful. I haven't played the game since EX, but new cards almost always sucks.

    Oh, and the card at the top of this thread isn't much better. It would take foorrrrever to get out and jungle Muk or Parasect ex would render it useless.
