i pick mudkip as my starter and now i need help on the other 5 in my party so i need a fire, electric, grass, steel, rock

Grass~ Hard to find a strong one v_v;; Try seedot/lotad.

    Electric~ Pikachu/chinchou/minun?

    Fire~ Vulpix

    Steel~ beldum, Registeel

    Rock~ Regirock, relicanth/corsola

Well here is a pretty good one I think lol.
    Fire:Torkoal, vulpix, numel
    Steel:Beldum, Registeel
    Electric:Electrike, Minun, Pikahu
    Grass:Seedot, lotad, oddish
    Rock: Nosepass, Relincath

Hope you like some of them ^^.Good Luck!

I'd suggest Numel as you fire-type.

I'd also reccomend using Nosepass for rock.

Other than that, its pretty much up to you. The above just stood out in their type.

Fire - Vulpix, or possibly Numel if you want to sacrifice the speed
Electric - Chinchou, definitely. If you can't wait that long, then Electrke will suffice
Grass - Lotad/Seedot depending on your game, although preferably Lotad
Steel - Beldum, although Skarmory if you can't wait
Rock - Geodude, until you get the fossil (Anorith or Cradily)

Electric: I'd definitely go with Electrode. His defense stinks, but his speed more than makes up for it in my eyes. :D

Grass: Believe it or not, one of my favorites is Tropius. I just think it's cool, I guess, but if you go with that one watch out for Ice attacks! XD

Rock: It's hard to find a rock Pokemon that I like. They're all too slow for me. But if I had to choose one, It'd be Relicanth. I like the combination of rock and water. Watch out for grass types, tho!

Steel: I like Magneton ok if it has the levitate ability. Of course, Metagross rocks too. Its resistance to fighting types makes it a hardier one than Magneton. :P

Fire: I always want Blaziken if I can get it, but if not, I'd go with a Rapidash. Is that even in Ruby, Sapphire? Err... or maybe an Arcanine?

Both Rapidash and Arcanine are only in FRLG, sorry.

Aw, fudge! Sorry about that. Maybe I should have checked first, lol. :P

I guess then, maybe I wouldn't even bother getting a Pokemon that's strictly a fire type. I'd get a Psychic or a Dark with strong sp. Attack, and teach it flamethrower or fire blast. If I can't have Blaziken I don't want any! >_<

Here are the results of the Emerald Queen jury...

Manectric as your electrical type,I've found it can pack quite a wallop.
Aron and it's evos as your Steel type.
    Vulpix for a fire type.
Roselia, Cacnea, or Tropius as a grass type
Corsola or Regirock as Rock type.

Have you tried assembling a team of dual types? You can actually negate some of a pokemon's type weaknesses if you pick one whose dual aspects cancel each other out. Slugma comes to mind.

One of my favourite duals is Flygon. Being a dragon and ground type, it can learn both flying and ground moves, as well as dragon moves, is immune to electrical attacks, devastating to electrical types, and if you get one with Levitate, it's immune to ground attacks like Earthquake and Fissure.

i really won't bother and sorry for thisbut......what the hell where you thinking...i mean, vulpix dosnt lern mostly other attacks other than fire, electrode has great speed but any special attack will knock him off....other than that.....
    fire-camerupt
    wade-wailord
    eel-manectric
    steel-skarmory
rock-nosepass or...............oh what the helll. i'd really prefer psychic

    Fire-Numel
    Grass- Shroomish
    Steel-Mawile
