I've decided to tweak the OVP rules a little to cut down on simplistic and spammy polls. Please read, because ignorance isn't an excuse to get away with any rule violations on OVP turf...

1) Follow PC's main rules - PC Rules
Well you should follow these first of all, so if you don't know them check them out before posting.
2) Only Polls.
Other Voting Polls is (this should be self-explanatory) only for polls. Incase you're not sure, a poll is a post that asks a question with the intent of seeing the other members' answers. If you make a post that is intended to be a central point of discussion, it belongs in Other Chat (ie things like "I got a new cat" or "My girlfriend dumped me" etc.)
3) Some Specific Types of Polls.
- All polls involving pokemon go in Pokemon General.
- All polls involving video games go in Other Games.
- All polls involving anime go in Other Anime/Manga.
- All polls involving computer (but not internet)-related issues go in Computer/Technology Discussion.
- All polls involving television, movies, books, or sports go in Other Entertainment.\
- All quizzes — by definition, anything created on Quizilla, OkCupid or similar that are automated to produce results based on what users put in — go in Fun Time in Pokeland.
4)Poll Limiting.
The older ruling has been reversed due to a lot of similar polls being posted...to cut down on unnecessary problems, we ask that each member post only one poll per day. Any other polls within that 24-hour period that come from the same person will be locked.
5) Don't post in threads over a month old.
Like the title says, please don't post in threads over a month old, instead post a thread with the same title, and it'll help greatly if you put [revived] in your thread name, post, etc. I know that this might be added in the forum rules, but I've seen like, alot of threads that have been revived. So I'm stating this again... Don't post in threads over a month old!
6) No offensive polls.
Whether it be directed to yourself or to other members as a group, gender, race, etc. (Ex: "Boys vs Girls", "Who hates me?", "Who do you hate on PC?" etc.) No flaming mods in polls, no asking if you think an admin's decision was just or not in a poll.
7)Random Polls.
Any polls that are so totally random such as, "How many times do you fart in a day," or "Do boogers float out your nose in the swimming pool? I must know!! XD,"
will be closed by me or any upper staff member. Think before you post; ask yourself if it's a quality question or not.
8)Use Proper Spelling and Grammar.
This may sound stupid to some of you, but it makes your poll look a lot more respectable when you use good spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation. Any posts seen with excessive errors or written in 1337 will be changed or deleted.
And by the way, not really a rule but a side note...
If you want us to add a poll, edit a poll, or change the thread name, just PM me. n__n I like being pestered. >>;
