5th Gen Group Stage & Knockout Tournament

It says all battles must be held at 50 or 100. Well, 100 is not possible in Gen V and 50 is only possible in flat battle, which means that you can only use 3 pokemon. So, will this tournament be held at flat battle, or unrestricted (meaning there is no level scaling, but you can use a full team of 6 pokemon)?

Well what I'm suggesting by

'Battles must be held with all Pokemon at level 100 or level 50

Singles 6v6'

is that it is singles 6v6 open level battle with both players pokemon at level 50 or level 100. But, for example, if somebody has a level 99 pokemon and they are happy to use it in a level 100 battle, that's fine.

why not i should at least try for a mew or even a flygon

Well, what would happen if I, with all level 100 pokemon, were to get matched against someone who only had guys in their 50s?

Eh, then it's only 3 pokemon a piece, which is a drag. I can't stand flat battles. Anyway, sorry to bog down your thread.

not only is the flat battle make you use 3 pokemon, you now have the item clause in place and thats even more of a drag because it adds a rule to the battle that wasnt originally there

You'd probably do a flat battle, so all pokemon are level 50...?

Exactly right Nakuzami.

Thanks for joining, you've been added

Okay well chances are everyone who's joined has a team of level 100's, and if not the compromise is a flat battle, which is perfectly acceptable. Another option would be to ask your opponent to get somebody to elevate their pokemon to level 100 with rare candies. Somehow I doubt it will be a huge problem though.

I'm in if there is still room?

I'm not much cop (just learning) but am desperate for practice to improve!

Is Blaziken also banned? Just wondered as he has been added to the Smogon ban list (mostly thanks to his DW ability)

No, you can have six pokemon.
The only other rules are No same item/Pokemon and no "Special" pokemon...I think? None of which bother me :3

Also, I don't have any Lv100 pokemon (well, except two that I don't use =/) so...

I would advise looking around the trade corner to see if someone would elevate your pokemon to 100!

You can't do a flat battle with 6 pokemon, it limits teams to 3 a piece.

Also, is there a reason Blaziken isn't banned?

I'll join if I still can. I live in Louisiana, my FC is in my sig.
