OK here's the deal. I'm training for the Red battle. I have a good team off 5, but I need one more poke to get my whole team. I'm not going to list movesets for my first 5 pokemons, but here are the first 5: Typhlosion lvl.75, Ampharos lvl.59, Dragonite lvl.58, Lapras lvl.58, Tyranitar lvl.55. I can't figure what I need for my 6th. I am leaning towards either Tangrowth (or any other strong grass type) or Espeon. Anyone have any suggestions?

It is quite hard to suggest pokemon since we don't know what moves you're current team members have and which types they cover.

But I would suggest get a pokemon that has a Hight Attack Stat since his snorlax can be a pain. Preferably a fighting type pokemon would be good, or a ghost and pshycic.
Maybe train a Gengar or Espeon?

I'll edit this and give oyu more feedback if you list the moves. :)
Until then, without them, I am limited.

Get a Psychic type. I recommend Espeon. It's frail, yes, but it is powerful and has recovery in the form of Morning Sun. Not to mention it can learn Calm Mind to boost its Sp.Atk...

Looking at your team, you have big weaknesses to Rock and Ground. Yes, you have Pokemon to resist/take reduced damage from both, but that's really not enough. Typhlosion, Tyranitar, and Ampharos are all weak to Ground. Dragonite, Tyhplosion, and Lapras are weak to Rock. Yikes. You need something to deal with that.

First of all, scrap Lapras and add in another Water type. I'd recommend Starmie. It has the same coverage but better at using them, patches up your Rock weakness, and gives you a great special attacker. Espeon would be good, yes, but Starmie would be a lot better.

Now for your Ground weakness. Scrap Tyranitar this time, it's just adding to a Ground weakness you have. In place, a strong Bug type would work. Heracross, Scizor, Scyther, and Yanmega could all work. It's really up to you.

Now to the sixth Pokemon. I feel that a good Ground type could work quite nicely, simply because of Red's Pikachu, who could own your entire team. Dugtrio, Sandslash, and Mamoswine could all work.
