Well, at least it's created the imagination of some 50 year old guy watching anime for me =D I guess there's nothing wrong with him watching anime - just depends what's happening on it ^^;

What does it matter if he watches anime, or if he's gay for that matter? :P

Who says that only young people can watch anime? If he enjoys it, who are we to say it's weird, or he has no life? It's a hobby, like anything else.

Nothing so surprising. I mean, anybody can like anything. Like, Michael Jackson for instance. Or, I have a 23 year old friend in going to college in Japan who plays Pokemon everyday. It really doesn't surprise me when I see old people watching anime or playing games like Pokemon. But that's just me.

It doesn't matter what others think he's not doing any harm to anyone so I see no problem whatsoever. Freedoms are being taken away in North America everyday and will get worse in the upcoming years so if anything I encourage people to utilize what little freedoms they have left.

If a 50 year old man was to watch anime, I'd consider them one of the coolest people ever. As a matter of fact, I know a 57 year old who watches anime. He watches it with me every now and then. Do I think he has no life? No, I know he has a life, so that theory is out. I don't see how age and watching anime makes you not have a life. That's just...mental. If anything it shows that they have a life.

I'd prefer if anyone were to sit and watch some anime with me. They're spending time with their family. Most people I know, who are older than in their 50s even watch Avatar, which is an American anime but an anime none-the-less, with their grandchildren. It's truly... inspiring?

But honestly, people need to really stop jumping to conclusions based on one fact without looking at the whole picture.

What does watching anime have to do with being gay? The conclusions people in this world are jumping to these days.....

Haven't you noticed? Just about EVERYTHING someone does leads to at least someone concluding that the person is gay. This is no exception. The way people jump to conclusions these days are mental because they have a conclusion for every action someone can do. It's mental.

Actually, in Japan, reading manga and what not is perfectly acceptable, even for 50 year old men. As far as animes go, it all depends on the show. There's one guy who my Japanese fiance said was like the anime equivalent to Disney, and was ok to watch, after I was giving her and her mom crap for watching.

Outside of Japan......... there's this thing called "virginity", which you can keep at age 50, if you still watch anime up to that point.... (sorry, guys)

I think it's awesome that someone from an older generation is taking an interest in modern technology. I mean back in the old days, animation was done with feeble blobs of clay and string. Now it's all computer designed, which is facinating taking into consideration how far animation and technology has come over the last 50 years. So no, he isn't gay on this basis. His sexuality would define that ;)

He will have a life, or rather has had one whichever way you look at it. 50 years old is still young in some books.

Next people will be calling people who play Pokemon who aren't 15 or below gay. lol Just shows that some people think too much about their genitals and which way they are pointing.

There is a Tulsa Anime Organization where I live and frankly most of the members are older. You can like what ever you want regardless of age. I am 32 and anime/manga are my fave hobby. <3
