A Decrease in Activity?

Well it's not like downtime isn't really, really annoying, no matter how long it inconveniences you. But there just isn't anything we can feasibly do about that right now so we've all just got to grin and bear it.

But the immediate decrease in activity isn't too surprising. Usually we do get an increase during the school year because people use PC as a procrastination tool but a lot of our members are also getting older so maybe more people have to re-evaluate how they spend their free time now that they're in the later years of schooling and until they find the combination of free time/studying/social/whatever, it'll stabilize.

There could be lots of reasons but PC is still pretty active so I don't think there's anything to be worried about. (If anything, the fact that PC is less active right now just means less database errors!)

Well, the forum had gotten a bit quieter in the past few months, I personally blame the removal of social groups a few months back for the drop in activity on this site (bring back social groups damnit, I loved them!)
The groups weren't exactly a wellspring of activity themselves... And we have Other Clubs and Pokemon Clubs that can just as much do the job of Social Groups so I see no reason why they would every be re-instituted.

And not to pretty much restate what everyone else said. If activity is a concern you could always spur on activity through posting actively with the forum you frequent either through regular posting, generating discussions in topics, or creating topics to discuss.

^ But that puts activity in Spin-Offs which is good for me! So feel free to come post in Spin-Offs.

It's normal for PC, or any other forum for that matter, to experience a bit of decrease in its overall activity around this time of year. Now that summer vacation is over for a large portion of our member base, and school has begun for a lot of students, they don't have as much time to spend online. Add that with the new members that come and the old (or new) members that go, we're bound to have a little drop in activity. However, that isn't to say we have lost a lot of activity around the forum or that it won't increase within the next couple of months, maybe even less. It's still pretty active as far as I can tell.

That said, I'm pretty sure this thread has run its course. So I'm gonna put the lock on this before we just get more of the same replies.
