    I got a few questions about Diamond/Pearl

    1. How do you trade?

    2. Can you trade a pokemon for nothing? Like give it away for free?

    3. What are the types of the gyms? (In order)

    4. Do i need a special connector for wifi or does it come with the console/game?

    5. What does it mean when a pokemon is hacked?

    6. Does having a hacked pokemon affect gameplay in anyway?

    Thanks for any help

    I got a few questions about Diamond/Pearl

    1. How do you trade?
Over wifi or wirelessly if the person is with you. You can also use the GTS, where you put a poke in asking for something you want, and can come back later
    2. Can you trade a pokemon for nothing? Like give it away for free?
No, you can just catch a useless poke to trade though
    3. What are the types of the gyms? (In order)
    Rock/Grass/Fight/Water/Ghost/Steel/Ice/Electric
    4. Do i need a special connector for wifi or does it come with the console/game?
Nintendo sell wifi connectors, but if you have wireless internet you can connect to that instead
    5. What does it mean when a pokemon is hacked?
You have altered a poke from a source outside of the game, for example an AR
    6. Does having a hacked pokemon affect gameplay in anyway?
Not really, if its a bad code then possibly but most hacks run fine. You shouldnt really be doing it though, better safe than sorry :)
    Thanks for any help

Answers is bold, glad to be of service :)

yeah, if you wanna help ur friend for example (or vice versa) lets say he wants a turtwig. ur feeling really generous and you decide to give him a turtwig for a bidoof. simple pokemon like bidoof or starly, etc that arent' very powerful are called "fillers" in trade.

I see....I have more questions though.

    1. I read on Serbii that once you transfer pokemon from past games to Diamond/Pearl, you cant transfer them back...is this true?

    2. Can i trade between two games in different languages? Like trade between Spanish Emerald and English Diamond/Pearl?

    1. Yes, unfortunately. =[ To do otherwise would result in mass confusion-- since Diamond/Pearl is on a completely different system, not to mention how many new pokemon it has, it makes it impossible for it to be backwards compatible. Though on Emerald, you can you use the cloning glitch to clone pokemon before you transfer them, if you want to keep one on your GBA game.

    2. I don't believe you can transfer pokemon from a GBA game with a different language than Diamond/Pearl, since that capacity was not built into the GBA games. However, you can trade between Diamond/Pearl games of different languages, and after a certain point in the game, you can even get foreign pokedex entries for a select few pokemon.

    Hope that helped. =3

Gahhhh.....Thanks, but not being able to trade different languages means that im gonna have to look for certain pokemon to get them to my DS (Like the regis, my shinies, my lvl 100s and so forth...Very frustrating)

But....If i buy Diamond/Pearl in Spanish i assume i will be able to trade between them right?

So does it mean i can go on wifi in America and be able to trade from wireless?

Oh yes, you can trade all over the world from the Nintendo Wi-Fi. Either through the Global Trade Station or by getting someone's FC and meeting them on Wi-Fi.

    ...That's what you're asking, right? o.o

I'm pretty sure you can use a Jap/Spanish/German/whatever language game on the US Wi-Fi...

Just make sure the D/P game is the same language as your R/S/E/FR/LG games, or Palpark won't work with them
