There's a few things that have bugged me for a while now. Both are sorta related to accessibility(particularly for visually impaired people).
First, I've noticed that images won't show up on the page, or at least not to a screen reader. Whether its because of the code used or something else, I'm not sure.(This only applies to images in posts, images in profiles or linked images seem to show up just fine...)
The images can still be obtained from the page if the page is, say, exported to Microsoft OneNote, but the images are just 'untitled picture'; that's the only way I know of to get those 'invisible' images from the pages.(its not a speedy process either)
So basicly its either export the whole page and hope for the best or ask for an image to be given as an attachment.
The other issue I want to mention is related to login/account recovery.
Captcha images. You know, those blurred or messed-up pictures?
Due to the bug with Open SSL recently, I had to reset my passwords like many people--including my password here. After resetting it and accidentally forgetting it, I went to recover my password.
Boom! Captcha image.
Normally they wouldn't be a /huge/ problem, but they are seriously frustrating to somebody with little or no vision.
The reason these things matter to me is because my eyesight is crap. I get tired of not being able to easily access images here and I'm EXTREMELY SICK of Captcha verification. So here's my suggestions:
* See if there's anything that could be done to make images in posts more accessible, if possible.
* Add audio Captchas if its not too much to ask... really. That or a different sort of test to see if you're a human. Again, if its possible.
I'd appreciate any help on these that can be given. Thanks in advance. ^^
