A Fire at my school! Aaaahhhh!!

The school I went too (*Man this is some time ago*) never had any fires, all we had were practise firedrills, but the year I was in was probably the only year at our school to go through two bomb threats and the scary thing is you wouldn't expect that of a school in a small town like where I like. The first one was in our first year we knew soemthing was up cos we didn't go back inside within 10 or so minutes and we ended up being taken to the neighbouring lesuire center...
...the second one was in our last year, I remember I was in art (*The only subject I actually enjoyed*) when the alarm went off and again we knew something was up cos we didn't go back inside and the teachers were acting all suspicious...

It was luckily both threats were fake, the first time soemone rang up to say they'd placed a bomb in the school (*When there wasn't*) and I think the second time the rumor was they actually found a suspicious device, don't think it was too dangerous though :p

It was kinda exciting though ^^;

I got one bomb threat and the whole school had to leave... it was scarry... but it turns out to be a prank.

once there was a kid at our school who, inorder to try to help his friend earn credit, had to make his essay look old...thus he stuck it in the toaster and caused a fire.
Haha, that's amusing. I wouldn't accept any sort of school work from someone stupid enough to put an essay in a toaster. o_O;; You'd have to be pretty desperate for marks. (Besides, shouldn't an essay look brand new if you "just wrote it"? @_@)

I never had fire drills really in elementary, and certainly not bomb threats. Nor has my house set fire, but I?m sure it?d be pretty scary. Seems like you?re pretty fortunate though snowangel. ^_^
I'm fortunate? Why? Cuz I wasn't there for any of them? I guess so then!

In elementary school we had a long fire drill. We knew somethings was wrong when we had been outside for about a half hour! We got bored so we started making jewelry out of little flowers while we waited. Then the fire trucks came! Turns out there was a spider that set off the alarm! It was weird...

Hey, that's kind of like what happened a few years back at my school. The fire alarm went off, so we all went outside. It was snowing and raining on and off the the hour (!!) we were outside while the firemen checked all the rooms. No one had time to grab their jackets from the lockers, so we were all freezing. (Although, I felt most sorry from the kids who had been in gym class at the time - they were in shorts and t-shirts and some had just socks on.) But anyway... the entire ordeal was caused by a sticker that had been placed over a fire alarm. o_O;

I have only had Practice Fire Drills. There has never been a fore in the school I am in.
^_^; and l am planing to keep it that way!

A sticker? Wow... at least mine was a living thing! But it was still really weird that a spider caused that big commotion... and we were younger so we started getting scared when the fire trucks came! Some girls even started crying... but there wasn't any smoke so there wasn't a fire! Most of us just played duck-duck-goose and made jewlery to pass the time! It was spring though... if it was winter it would have been horrible!

I felt bad when we had that pool issue that I mentioned earlier... I would hate to have any type of gym during an unplanned fire drill... especially a pool class! In the winter! It would be terrible if there was a fire or something and you had to go stand outside in the snow in a bathing suit! Luckily that hasn't happened as far as I know...

Bomb Threats are bad. If a person does it so they can get out of class, we have to make it up, which isn't good at all...

Also, Real Fire at school is bad also. People can get hurt...

I've been burned by a school fire, how's that for people being burned -_-. I don't have to make up bomb threat days though.

how bad or intense were the burns and where and when did they happen. by where i mean where on the body?

My Sleeve got caught on fire near the Chem Lab.. Its a line it's not that bad but it hurt. It left a really small scar.

Nah, I just don't go to school on those days :P.

unless approved by a lagal gaurdian...lets say it was "his day out" you never know what if his parents approved...

It's not hooky, and It's not Illegal, Your allowed 10 Absentee days during the 2nd Semester, and I only used like.. 4 So I don't really have to go if I dont feel like, plus at the end of the year we get Half days which we dont really do anything.

Just last week some complete moron started a fire at my school- by smoking a cigarette, and then putting the still lit cigarette in a hole in wall that was full of toilet paper and paper towels and discarded paper, causing a fire. (The only things I like in scool are a) the class I'm in now for making my rm2k3 game (no name yet) b) three of my teachers, c) and lunch. Oh, and the restroom that it happened in is right by my computer class! I was afraid that it might destroy my computer!) Anyways, I hate being outside with nothing to do... and I hate the heat! Unfortunatly, I got to stand out in 90+ degree weather that day for a whole hour! Still for all the thing I was worried about and am complaining about, it would of been worth the hor of the hot outdoors if the school had burned... and for all you who complain about cold... I was born in Conneticut ok? You might of been born farther north, you might live farther north... still, ever swim in a lake that was covered in ice a foot thick? In your underwear? At the age of three? unless you can top that, don't complain about the cold. (Sheesh I didn't even get sick after that an I was in there for a whole hour.)
