A Fire Pokemon Trainer Has Moved In

    hi all, i'm Rika24 and love Fire pokemon over all other types. My old team on SoulSilver were Charizard, Ninetales, Typhlosion, Houndoom, Infernape, and Jolteon (so that would make me a Fire Trainer XD... if you don't count Jolty that is).

    I've been playing pokemon since the days of Red and Blue and my very first pokemon was Charmander and still stands as my favorite starter over all. Generation wise, i love the 1st and 2nd the most, followed by the 5th generation.

    overall, SoulSilver and HeartGold are my favorite pokemon games so far, beating out the old Crystal version as #1. i can only hope that they'll do another remake of Red and Blue for DS that is actually worthy (FireRed and LeafGreen were ok, but aside from graphics they really didn't improve on anything from the originals. Unlike SS/HG which were high quality remakes... except the pokemon contests, that's the only change i didn't like)

    my top 5 favorite pokemon are:
    1. Charizard/Charmander (tied)
    2. Jolteon
    3. Ninetales
    4. Mew
    5. Quilava

    favorite types:
    1. Fire
    2. Electric/Psychic (tied)
    3. Grass/Ice (tied)
    4. Dragon
    5. Ghost/Dark (tied)
     
    You seem to have the same thoughts about the generations as I do. The 1st & 2nd generations were pretty awesome and I grew up with them. I like Ninetales as a fire-type as well, and Jolteon as an electric type. And I have two friends that ADORE Quilava. Slight problem though: I'm a grass type Pokemon...and I sorta hate fire soooo. xD

    lol Anyways, Welcome aboard, Rika! You will totally like it here, as we have a lot of people that adore Pokemon just like you. My suggestion for you is to visit the Pokemon Groups section of the forums, where you'll find an active Fire-Type fan club. You'll be able to nerd out on your favorite fire-types, moves, and maybe the occasional comparisons.

    Fire's all well and good, but just as in real-life, it causes a lot of damage but is surprisingly easy to extinguish. Nevertheless, each to their own, right? Welcome to PC!
