    OOC: This is a private RP between myself, and two other roleplayers, we've already worked out the details, but if you really want to take part in this, PM me, and I'll talk to the others about it.

    Continuity aside, this roleplay takes place at Professor Xavier's school for gifted individuals, where humans who have mutated in all sorts of fashion can study and live in peace, as well as adjust to the changes, or at least learn toa ccept them. This roleplay will involve many, but revolve around a select few individuals in this school, as they go about their day to day lives, the drama of relationships, the pressures of exams, and possibly some of the more dangerous, if less stressful life-threatening events common in all X-men fiction thus far.

    Okay, so I'm here. Though, I admit to having one question, and I hate to act like such a noob like this and post the question, but do you want us to have a sign-up, Shiney, or do you want to just start?

    OOC: Unfortunately, I forgot to mention that. XD No sign up is necisary, as I stated in the other RP that I personally prefer the in-character method of description, though feel free to post a sign up in any way you wish, if you want.

    so you can just join without a form needed?
    am i right?

    The ball of (seeming) energy formed instantaneously in my hand and shot out, striking the target dead-on. There, it proved its difference. Unlike energy, or a laser for that matter, breaking or incinerating the metal object, the superheated plasma bolt caused an explosion many times greater than what its size should have suggested. I smiled at the sight, this was so fun to play around with. Three more bolts, three more explosions. I left the training facility to eat breakfast a very happy teen.

    I wandered aimlessly along the grounds. Rubbing my upper arm, I looked about. A mournful howl escaped my lips.

    No answer.

    Sitting down, I pulled my knees to my chest and stared blankly ahead. They really were gone. My pack had left me. What was I to do now? I couldn't function without them.

    A voice entered my head. Little Zephyr, this is for your own good. We are not gone, but we are no longer with you. Make friends. Adjust. Things will get better in time.

    Thank you, Blithe, I whispered in response to the alpha-wolf's reprimend.

    ~~~~~~~~~
    I pulled my baggy sweatshirt over my leotard and yawned. Yanking up my black leg-warmers, I slid into my tennis shoes. Another hour of pointe, another dream of the ballet. Smiling to myself, I tied the ends of the soft pink pointe ribbons together. Tossing the shoes over my shoulder, I stretched and headed for breakfast.
    It wasn't often that I ate breakfast in the cafeteria. Most people tended to stare at my early morning attire. After all, it wasn't often some chick just walzed into a cafeteria in nothing more than a tight black leotard, a sweatshirt, soft pink tights, and black legwarmers...
    But today, I was hungry enough not to care.
    Stepping in through the doors, I grabbed a bowl of oatmeal and glanced around for a place to sit.
    I waned. A big yawn, a powerful driving yawn. Stretching my arms out, I looked about ready to fall asleep where I stood.
    Done with that, I spun around several times for fun and tossed one of the plastic plates into the air as I grabbed it. I put an apple and two waffles onto it. I buttered the waffles and kicked myself into a seat.
    Glancing up at the boy, I continued with my oatmeal. I was seated on the floor, my legs stretched out spread-eagle. I didn't have much of a choice but to sit like that. My calves needed a good stretch.
    Talking was never my strong point. Once I got to know someone, sure. But here... Here I really didn't know much of anyone. It was hard to get to know these kids. They were all so happy and good at their powers. I had very little control over my own.
    Grimacing a bit, I took another bite of oatmeal as the boy sat at a table near my perch on the floor.
    I relaxed, practically ignoring the boy beside me. I had picked a somewhat unhealthy breakfast consisting of mostly fried potatoes, but I had a green apple as well as a few grapes with it. However, my own attention was on the air in front of me, the tips of my index and middle finger glowing slightly as I traced symbols in the air, leaving a trail of glowing red for a moment, very openly bored.
    Finally, I blinked my bright yellow eyes, looking around in an apparently confused fashion, my long black hair traling over my face, making it very easy to confuse with the black streaks painted below my eyes, as I took in the sudden changes in my surroundings.
    I looked down at the girl beside me and said, "You all right? I'll trade you seats, if you want." I tossed the apple up and took a bite from it, relishing the fresh taste. Chewing it, I offered her a waffle, saying through a think mouth, "You want a bite of waffle?"
    I blinked at him curiously. "Yeah.. I'm fine..." I laughed at his offer of a waffle. "Do you have ANY idea how many calories are in one of those!?" I smiled and stood, finishing off my oatmeal.
    I laughed a bit again. "You can keep those to yourself." Stretching, my sweatshirt raised a bit, showing a good bit of my flat abs. "Dancers need to watch what they're eating."
    I laughed and said, "I suppose. I prefer the occasional indulgence, but hey, whatever." I took another bite of apple and laughed again. "I guess I'm just a little nervous, a little pent-up and trying to garner some energy." I smiled down at her, explaining, "Today's my first time in the Danger Room. The Professor wants to test my abilities and control."
    I laughed a bit, stood, and started my way out of the room. Dumping my bowl, I tossed my hair over my shoulder and looked back at him. "Good luck with that," I said sincerely. Turning away, I called out with my back to him, "You're gonna need it."
    ~~~~~~~~~~

    I sighed a little and rose, heading for the cafeteria. May as well get something in my stomach...

    Entering, I passed a giggling girl, who didn't give me a second glance. Tugging anxiously on the feathers in my hair, I walked over to the kitchen and grabbed some bacon and toast. Sitting down at a table in the corner, I kept my eyes low, trying to avoid the people now filing in.

    Laughing, I rose and called after her, "I appreciate it. I'm rather new here, don't really know what to expect." Looking at my watch, I growled, "****..." I was going to be late like this. I ran from the cafeteria, bumping into a girl I hadn't seen before with feathers in her hair. Stumbling past, I yelled, "Sorry!" as I slammed the elevator buttons, darted inside and repeatedly jammed the button for the subbasement.

    OOC: WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU, SHINEY?!?!?!?

    BIC: I watched him race off, remember my first time in the danger room. The professors were quite impressed with me. I'd only been at the Institute for about a week when they threw me in. I almost fried the machines. They'd never seen someone who could control electricity like me.

    Then again, I didn't just control it... I could communicate with it... manipulate it...

    I shuddered. It was odd to think about.

    ~~~~~~~~
    I was a little shocked at the contact from the boy. Shrugging it off, I started in on my bacon and toast, eating in a slightly wolfish way. I realized the mistake and calmed myself down, eating more like a lady.
    I hated it here all ready... How could they have just sent me away like this! I pulled my knees to my chest, whining a little. I missed them all so much... All I did was blow up a tree...
    The simulation began. Professor Xavier had chastised me for being late, then began an easy Class 1 simulation. Several of the plasma bolts from earlier flew from my hands, striking the various projectiles and obstacles. An electronic voice said, "Class 2."
    There were more of them, moving faster. I responded in kind. "Class 3."
    A flurry of plasma bolts flew from my hands, causing a series of successive explosions, he computer said, "Class 4." A Sentinal, or at least, a simulation of one appeared before me. Stepping back, I concentated and felt something click. A single bolt flew from my hands and I gulped in fright. This was not good. Then, the Sentinal exploded with a small mushroom cloud.
    I heard the Professors voice saying, "Your energy reading are amazing. We'll try you in a Class 5 simulation." I gulped again and nodded. Several of the mutant-hunters appeared. I tried for the blast again, but nothing came and my normal bolts did nothing. With a shriek, beams of plasma exploded from my hands, causing chain reaction, parts of Sentinal exploding with abandon. On edge, I heard the Professor say, "End simulation."
    I turned back to my breakfast when there seemed to have been nothing interesting going on. However, my attention turned very quickly to a girl I had never seen before, with white hair. I blinked in confusion for a moment. Were those feathers?
    I sighed, remembering my first days here, and scooted my plate away, getting to my feet and walking over to her. "Hey there!" I said, smiling cheerily at her, holding out my hand. "My name's Vanima, let me guess, you're kind of new here, neh?" I asked. Considering my first day here, she was doing better than I had. I didn't see anyone on fire yet, at least...
    I sat on a grassy hill outside the institute. Waving my hand back and forth, I watched a neon dragon bend and weave at my will. I was bored, and a little wistful. Nothing to do, nowhere to go, no one to talk to. That was usually my life.
    I could have been dancing, but for an odd reason, the dance had momentarilly lost its luster. I added a small rider to the electrically charged dragon, smiling and imagining myself in her place.
    ~~~~~~~~

    I looked up instantly. Smiling, I whispered, "Yeah. I'm brand new. Just arrived today. My nam is Zephyr. I'm pleased to meet you."

    I said this all rather quickly, flushing afterward. I wasn't good at socializing with humans. Absnetly, I tugged on the feathers in my hair.

    I smiled back at her warmly, gently leaning on the table. "It's a pleasure to meet you, I know adjusting to this place can be tough." I said, gently raising a hand, and focused a moment, the air in a small pinpoint heating up enough to ignite the air aorund it, resulting in a small, flickering flame hovering in my hand. "But there are some good results," I said, winking slightly. "So, is there anything I can help you with? Moving stuf? A tour of the place? Bleh, I must sound corny, but I remember what it was like to be the new kid..."

    The room was fried. Absolutely charred and wrecked. Electricity crackled from open power conduits even after the holograms faded away. My eyes widened at the carnage I had been responsible for. Before I could hear the next announcement, I turned and fled, scared of what I had done, what I could do in the future. It was a frightening prospect for me, the power I had stored withing my compact frame. I ran headlong onto the spacious grounds.
