[Gen 8] a Glaceon came crashing down from above

Let's see how long a run of each takes I guess...
About 1 minute 20 seconds for Roserade/Honchkrow + Onix. Not counting the load in, so probably more like 1 minute 30.

Actually... alpha Steelix is sounding cooler the more I think about it. Probably gonna be my main target.
While grinding out Onix over & over I catch a shiny Kricketot. I also catch a shiny Barboach and Paras at Outbreaks.

Further shiny catches before I finally catch a shiny Alpha: female Hippopotas, Gastly, Basculin, Stunky, Basculin, Monferno, Petilil, male Combee, Walrein, Skorupi, Kricketot, Goomy, Graveler, Skorupi, Gastly, Togepi, Finneon, Voltorb (and failed a 2nd Voltorb in the same outbreak), a shiny Gastly, Petilil, Haunter, Gastrodon (blue), male Combee, Barboach, Bidoof, Yanmega, Cleffa, Finneon, Haunter, female Combee, Petilil, Zubat, Drifblim, Rotom, female Hippopotas.

Regularly expanded the Alpha checking route to Alpha Whiscash, Carnivine, Vespiquen & Yanmega. Sometimes dropping Alpha Yanmega. Sometimes adding Alpha Ursaring, Sliggoo and Torterra for longer routes.
Eventually I hear the shiny sound and see a different colored Alpha Onix:

[PokeCommunity.com] a Glaceon came crashing down from above

I catch it quite easily by distracting it with an Oran Berry and chucking a Gigaton Ball at it's back.
I then hit up every Alpha in this map area just in case there's another one.
Didn't find another one, but did find a regular shiny Gastly and Budew.

After completing the area check up I head to camp and shove a bunch of Grit Items into Onix till it's effort level are maxed and then level it up a bit with Exp. candies.

I then do some box reorganization and box the 2 non shiny Alphas I've been using for grinding to pull my starter back out of storage.
Sneasler is already 93 and Psyduck 96 from all the times I killed Onix so no need to grind them up lol
My starter Hisuian Decidueye is level 78 so I level up Onix with Exp Candies till it is 78 as well. I then evolve it, and then evolve Psyduck into Golduck as well.

Team of 5 shiny Alphas + my starter. Would prefer to go to Mt. Coronet with a full Shiny Alpha team, but kinda tired of grinding for them so... I'll just catch the last one before fighting Arceus I guess? At least I assume that to be happening after the story concludes, while potentially having access to the Shiny Charm at that point.... we'll see I guess.

Also still don't know if I need to faint the alphas while hunting them. Ran a pretty lengthy route in the Icelands with Alpha Hisui Sneasel being the only mon I always knocked out. Which then ended up being the shiny Alpha.
For Onix it was the same. It was the only Alpha I knocked out every time while hunting the route... and it's the one that ended up being shiny.
Makes me lean more towards having to knock them out tbh... might be coincidence. Shiny Alpha Lopunny happened while grinding out as well so that was actively being killed too.
The Alpha Psyduck was a random Alpha though, and I don't think I was killing the static Alpha Luxray when it decided to be shiny.

Anyway back to town... I go to the move place, but the lady isn't there. I then make do reteaching some moves to Decidueye, Golduck and Steelix. Would've preferred checking the move tutor for better moves... this move-set isn't ideal. Oh well.

I save at the edge of town before leaving to end this session. I can finally go to Mt. Coronet next session =D

I set off for the Coronet Highlands and check all the Alpha spawns before heading to my destination, just in case....
... nope, nothing.

I talk to the guard outside the cave and despite his orders of not letting anyone in I can just enter.
Once inside the cook dude awaits me. He reveals himself a ninja and challenges me to a fight.

Mismagius is first and immediately makes my Alpha Steelix drowsy. I Strong Style Rock Slide, but it's not enough and it heals itself up.
Strong Style High Horsepower then flattens it and Sneasler is next. One high Horsepower flattens it after it agile style attacks me twice.
Gallade is up next. It lives High Horsepower and Drain Punches some health back, only to go down on the next High Horsepower.
Gardevoir comes in and immediately Calm Minds. I heal up Steelix with a Max Potion. Steelix tanks 2 Psychics and finishes off Gardevoir with 2 High Horsepowers.
Get swept Ninja cosplayer.

After a chat I leave the cave and then head up the hill. Adaman and Irida stop me for a chat.
Volo is also there and I buy a couple Max Potions and Full Restores off of him.

I continue further upward and Kamado challenges me to a fight.
Braviary. Strong Style Rock Slide finishes it. Snorlax comes in and show me it's a horse too before I High Horsepower it back and kill it.
Golem comes in and receives a High Horsepower too after attacking me twice. Last up is Clefable which uses Baby Doll Eyes. Annoying, but I Strong Style Iron Tail anyway... and it kills.

One cutscene later I go further upward and walk past some statues of the nobles. When reunited with the gang Irida starts hearing voices and then a portal opens with Palkia stepping out. The Red Chain activates, but it seems to just anger Palkia lol

2 Hydro Pumps faint Steelix, but it got a High Horsepower off to send Palkia into yellow HP.
I send Golduck in and use Hypnosis. I toss 1 Ultra Ball and it just goes in... what...
... is it a guaranteed catch or something? did I even need to weaken it? @_@

A cutscene happens and now it's Dialga stepping out of the portal. It roars and we all run back and I get forced to leave... pfft... just let me at it, I'll slap some sense into Dialga by beating it silly!

A lengthy cutscene ensues and the next mission starts. At some point the blue thing shows up.
Once I gain control of my character I head for the Primeval Grotto. The bandit sisters interrupt the cutscene and I get to fight Charm again. Hurray...
A couple High Horsepowers later her Rhydon and Gengar are gone.

During the next cutscene Lian and Sliggoo extract some Origin Ore and it's back to the camp to chat with Laventon.
A short chat and we go back to Jubilife, where the chatter continues. Akari makes an Origin Ball and I have to take it and Palkia to Dialga.

I leave the Galaxy Hall and go to the training grounds where I add Ice Beam, Psychic, Calm Mind and Tri-Attack to Golducks's move pool.
I then add Thunder, Fire & Ice Fang, as well as Power Shift and Iron Head to Steelix's move pool.
I then also add False Swipe, Bulk Up and Shadow Claw to Decidueye's move pool.

I add False Swipe and Bulk Up to Decidueye's move set over Roost and Aerial Ace.
Í add Calm Mind, Psychic and Ice Beam to Golduck's move set over Hydro Miss Pump, Confusion and Hypnosis.
I add Iron Head over Iron Tail and Fire Fang over Bulldoze on Steelix' moveset.

I then use Seeds of Mastery to master all the changed moves before going to the pasture to ditch Decidueye...
... but I notice Decidueye's Effort levels aren't maxed so I keep it and grab Palkia for Lopunny so I can max both their effort levels.
Once done I put Lopunny back on the team and bench Decidueye.

Then it's back to the moves lady to see what I can teach Palkia. I add Water Pulse, Outrage, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam and Draco Meteor to it's movepool. I then teach it Water Pulse over Aqua Tail and Flamethrower over Hydro Pump.
I then use Seeds of Mastery to master the new moves.

I check the shops for any PP Ups, but guess they don't exist yet in this game.
I buy some new clothes for a new outfit and then head for the village exit.
Cogita awaits me for a short chat.

I head back to the Highlands and do a quick Alpha check up round again.
Nothing, of course.

I head back to the cave to the top and Volo stops me for a chat.
I continue onward to the summit where I meet up with Adaman, Irida and Kamado for a chat.
A cutscene then forces me into the temple and Dialga transforms into horse mode, destroying the temple.
Ugh... these horse/centaur like origin formes are still lame to me. Like Giratina's serpent like Origin form is kinda cool, why are these so lame?

Anyway I end up in a Noble like balm toss fight. Dialga starts spamming attacks and I black out and attempt the fight again. Got hit too early I guess... managed to get the balm hp bar down to it's last quarter. It spams some sort of meteor attack, probably Draco Meteor, that leaves a lingering damage field of some sort. It also has some sort of electric pulse, as well as a smaller series of meteors that go in succession. Probably need to dodge roll the pulse... struggled timing it first time round.

I only get hit once second time around and a cutscene plays where the Origin Ball gets thrown at Dialga. Automatic catch.
The sky returns to normal and all is well again, I suppose.
We leave after the chatter and the credits start rolling... was that it? =O
Guess all the other Sinnoh legendaries are postgame then.

After the credits the screen goes black and I'm told to seek out all Pokemon.
I start off in my house and leave it. Akari greets me and I'm told to go to the hall.
I spy a new request on the map though and head over to Zisu.
A request to fight the security corps' secret weapon... wait request 104?
I just checked the list to see if I was missing any requests and it ended at 88 with nothing missing.

I get dragged off to fight the gatekeeper of Jubilife, Ress.
Bidoof.... level 62 Bidoof. Really? Are we sure this is a secret weapon and not just a request from Ress to fight us?
I still have Palkia in the lead and switch to Lopunny. Drain Punch faints it. Shinx. Drain Punch isn't enough and it gets healed up straight away so I use Giga Impact next.
Starly is the last one, which gets 2 attacks off on Lopunny due to Giga Impact basically functioning like a Strong Style move making me move later. I Giga Impact again.

The request is completed after a chat. Well guess I'll be getting a bunch of requests soon then. Missing requests 89 - 103 =P
Anyway I head to the Galaxy Hall next. Upon entering I see new request markers and I accept 3 new request. The second request from the board triggers a dialogue about what sounds like Darkrai.

Afterward I head to talk to Cyllene to progress the main mission. Volo barges in and I have to work with him. He'll be at the Heights Camp... which is the Coronet Highlands iirc.
I then go talk to Laventon and he gives me Cyndaquil and Oshawott... was not expecting that.

While talking up people inside the Galaxy Hall I start a new dialogue with Sanqua. She makes a painting of the rift with my help.
Before leaving the town I make the Darkrai request my active request. It's in the Coronet Highlands so I head there after checking the other areas to see where the Heights camp is... the Fieldlands apparently.

I sleep at the Mountain Camp to make it night and then head for where Darkrai is supposed to be. Alpha Bronzong seems to be gone because of the mission.
Darkrai shows up in a cutscene.
It aggros and then keeps disappearing every time I try to throw something at it, including a Pokemon to try and fight it.

I screw around for a while trying to work out how this works. Sneaking up with Stealth Spray and Smoke Bombds doesn't work.
I eventually await him at the circle he pops up out of and try throwing balls. Seems to work now... need to be fast I guess? Or perhaps it needs to be fast and from behind... seems to teleport when I get close from the front... idk.

He busts out of a multitude of balls but eventually goes into a Gigaton Ball.
The quest giver shows up and after short chat the request is complete. I then hit up all the Alphas for a checkup round again.

I then head to the new mission marker.... ah another balloon race huh. Need to burst 40 out of 60 Balloons.
I get a measly 26 Balloons on the first attempt.
I get 43 on the second attempt without reaching the end of the course again.

Well I still have Palkia in my party... let's see what moves we need to use to massacre some poor Pokemon... 25 Aqua Tail, 40 Spacial Rend and 40 Strong Style and 40 Agile style Moves. Oof.... gonna take a while. Well let's start killing stuff....
... or not... can't Agile/Strong Style Special Rend yet.
I grab some Exp Candies from storage and feed them to Palkia. It masters Spacial Rend when it reaches 75.

I then start massacring the local Pokemon population to grind out the move related tasks.
Eventually I perfect Palkia and I switch it into the box for Darkrai. I check it's tasks.
25 Shadow Balls and Dark Voids. 40 Strong Style moves and 25 Agile style moves. A bit better than Palkia but still gonna take a bit.
The massacre shall continue.

I perfect Darkrai after a while and then move on to Dialga. 40 Strong and 40 agile style moves again. 40 Roar of Times and 25 Iron Tails. Ah great... 2 inaccurate moves this time. Ugh. Well.... grinding time.

Eventually I Perfect Dialga as as well and talk to Laventon to leave.
From town I then set out to the Fieldlands. I put Cyndaquil on my team and feed it Grit items and Exp candies so it can fight for itself hopefully. Need to see it use Ember, Quick Attack and Flame Wheel 15 times each. Also 15 Strong and 15 Agile moves. Doesn't sound too horrible tbh... is the 1st of 3 stages though... it will get progressively worse.
Massacre time... Fieldlands edition.

Once all the move spamming is done I evolve it and the only thing left for Cyndaquil is now catching it. I look at Quilava's tasks... the move ones are identical to Cyndaquil's.
Can't do the Catch and Evolve ones fully yet.... probably need outbreaks for those.
And so the massacre continues until Quilava's move tasks are all done as well.

Afterward I feed some Exp Candies to Quilava so that I can evolve it. I look at it's moves... 40 Infernal Parade, 25 Flamethrower and 25 Overheat, alongside 40 strong and 40 agile style moves. Oof, I remember Decidueye's move tasks being rough too but dang.
Aside from the moves there's also catching them, which again I don't think I can do right now.

Looks like Typhlosion can't learn 2 of the moves I need it to use yet so it's Exp Candy spam time again. At level 54 it's learned and mastered all 3 of the moves I need it to use.

One long massacre spree later I finally complete all of Typhlosion's move related tasks.
I box Typhlosion and pull Oshawott out of the box to feed it some candy and throw grit stuff at it. Need to see it use Water Pulse, Aqua Jet and Slash 15 times each, and 15 Strong and 15 Agile style moves. It's at level 29 atm and hasn't mastered Slash yet, but it doesn't have to. I'll just combine Strong and Agile with the other 2 moves.

Once Oshawott's move tasks are done I evolve it into Dewott and do it's move tasks as well, which again are the same as the 1st stage's moves.
Then I evolve it into Samurott to do it's move tasks... 40 Ceaseless Edge, 25 Aqua Tail and 25 Hydro Pump + 40 Strong style and 40 Agile style moves. Ah great... 3 inaccurate moves for this one... yare yare.
Well I gotta evolve it first so time to throw a bunch of candies at it till it can evolve and then again till it can master all 3 of those moves.

Yet another lengthy massacre spree later... Samurott's move tasks are finally done.
I shove Samurott back into the box and grab the superior Hisui starter again, Decidueye.
I then go and talk to the new NPC lady near the camp.

Ah this is the Shaymin quest huh. Not sure if the time of day matters so let's nap till morning first.
I then run to the field of withered flowers I already knew of and entering it triggers a cutscene. The lady comes over and says thank you and the flower field is instantly in bloom again. Shaymin shows up and the lady then leaves.

I try approaching Shaymin but it runs off and despawns... it will probably show up again next day, but let's just reload.
On the second attempt I get harassed relentlessly by 2 beautifly and an Alpha Beautifly forcing me to deal with them first, but eventually I can resume tossing balls at Shaymin and it eventually goes into a Jet Ball.

I head back to camp and swap Shaymin into my party. I then check the move tasks... 25 Earth Powers, 25 Seed Flares, 25 Strong style moves and 40 Agile style moves.
Well Seed Flare has the rubbish accuracy of 85 so I'll be using Strong Style on that I guess.

Some more indiscriminate Pokemon slaughtering later I've Perfected Shaymin.
I go back to camp to box Shaymin and then fly to the other camp for the new request here, expecting it to be another Balloon Race thing. Nope. I talk to the Munchlax girl and then go to where Munchlax wants me to go.

Upon arrival a cutscene has me peep on some Zorua and then tells me to leave... why not catch them all? =O
I saved beforehand so... I'll just catch them all...
... all 4 of them... that's it? =O

Then I go back to report to the girl. During the cutscene she mistakes a Zorua using Illusion for her Munchlax and then just glosses over it when Munchlax stares at her wondering why she didn't recognize him/her.
The game then wants me to go back to the village to report on this to the Galaxy Captain... nah, not now.

I then activate my other request and go to the Oreburgh Tunnel. As I approach an Alpha Onix I get a cutscene.
I then have to approach it again after I quickly put Steelix in the lead to show this thing who has the superior Alpha
An Iron Head finishes things and triggers another cutscene.

I fly back to camp again afterward to talk to Volo. After the chat about tableware it's off to the Grueling Grove.
Our chat gets interrupted by an Alpha Vespiquen who lives my Steelix's strong style Rock Slide by a sliver of HP. A Fire Fang then finishes it off after tanking 2 attacks.

I pick up the Stone tableware afterward... was expecting Bug or Flying tbh due to Vespiquen... do I already have those or something? I haven't been paying attention to these xD
Anyway Volo wants to go to Cogita now. I kinda wanna check the lake to see if I can catch one of the lake trio now... but let's follow along for a bit I guess.

I travel back to the village and before heading back out I go to Cyllene to report for that outbreak request. She thanks me and the request is complete... that it? =O
Ah no, the munchlax girl shows up and Cyllene dubs these outbreaks Massive Mass Outbreaks. She wants to meet me at the gate.

I then also buy a bunch of Iron Chunks at the craftworks before leaving. I talk to Munchlax girl at the gate. I get a new request.
She wants to drag me off straight away... kinda wanted to go to Ancient's Retreat first, but fine.
A cutscene follows and I see a whole bunch of question marks on my map. I mark the nearest one and fly to it.

Upon arrival I fight some Luxio. I then head to the next location and catch a bunch of Kadabra. I get a message about the rainstorm not stopping anytime soon... is that related to the massive mass outbreak or is that for the genies?
I keep going and spam catch Buneary, Spheal and Drifloon next before the storm clears.
I then go report back to Munchlax girl. The request just ends and some new dialogue directs me to Arezu's shop in Jubilife.

I first fly off to go check the cave at the lake... nothing. Off to Jubilife it is. Not gonna progress this bit further just yet though.

I leave Jubilife again immediately for Ancient's Retreat. During the dialogue a choice box shows up for picking what I want to hear about and each triggers a new mission... gotta get plates from the lake spirits, the Volcano (Heatran I guess?), the crescent Moon (gotta be Cresselia) and the temple Giant (Regigigas). There's also an option for the beginning... gotta be where the game started right....
... yeah.

I leave the tent and Volo gives a quick chat before I can leave.
Upon return to Jubilife Kamado wants me to follow him to Prelude Beach, where things started. Guess we're doing that one first then?
I head to the new quest marker and Kamado awaits me to challenge me to a fight.

Golem. Drain Punch sends it into red and Golem gets switched out for Heracross. Bad move. 1 strong style Play Rough kills it. Pink bunnies ftw.
Snorlax comes in and launches an attack immediately. Drain Punch sends it into red hp and lets me heal back up. It doesn't move so I get to Drain Punch again.
Golem comes back in and gets Full Restored. I Strong style Drain Punch this time and it kills Golem.
Clefable comes in and Psychics. I Double hit and it Psychics again. I Agile Style Giga Impact next to kill it.
Braviary comes in. Strong Style Giga Impact faints it.
Swept by Lopunny.

Kamado gives me the Fist tableware afterward. After the chat I fast travel back to Galaxy Hall to go chat to Arezu and Munchlax girl.
We chat for a bit and the next outbreak mission starts. Munchlax girl offers to travel together.... nah, not yet. Seems I need to trigger this manually from within Jubilife... would rather just go there tbh... oh well.

I head back to the Fieldlands and back to the cave for Mesprit. As I enter the cave Mesprit just sort of shows up. I stun it with Sticky Globs a couple times before it goes into a Gigaton Ball.
I leave the cave and make a round checking on Alphas again... nope.

I then head back to Jubilife and onward to the Icelands.
I check on all the Alphas aside from Gallade and then enter the cave on the lake for Uxie. I stun it with globs again and it goes into the first Gigaton Ball I toss.

I then head to Snowpoint Temple to go deal with Regigigas. I approach the Regigigas door and Adaman shows up. They tell me the door won't open no matter what they try. The original 3 regis aren't in the game right? Otherwise I'd go catch them first.
I approach and interact with the door and it tells me the Stone Plate and Icicle Plate are reacting to the door. Ah I see.... gonna need to get the Steel Plate to represent the regis through tableware.

Can't do this yet then so I'll leave.
I head for the Pearl Settlement for a new request. I talk to Irida and she plays some flute for me.... and then we fight, because sure why not @_@
Oh a 3 on 1 huh. Flareon + Espeon + Glaceon. I Agile Style Giga Impact the Flareon to prevent burns on Lopunny. It dies... only level 32 apparently lol
I then do the same to Espeon, also only level 32. Lower level side kicks for balancing I guess? I then Strong Style Drain Punch Glaceon away. I'm sowwy eeveelutions from another mother :sadwick:

I get a Lustrous Globe in reward... ah... well not using that. I'll take regular Palkia/Dialga over the stupid centaur forms any day of the week lol

I then head back to the village and talk to Munchlax girl to go to the Mirelands together. Need to go there for Azelf anyway.
It's already storming upon arrival so guess I'm doing this straight away. The blue thing shows up again... ugh.
Once the waste of space and effort is done yapping, Munchlax eats some of the Aguav Berries and the Arc phone responds to it.
It shows what the outbreaks are now? One of them has a sparkle next to it... more likely to have shinies perhaps? Already got Yanma and Yanmega though.

I beat it up anyway just to see... another outbreak spawns in afterward; the evolution.
I then beat up the nearby Grotle outbreak before heading to an outbreak across the map because it has a berry on it. I get some more Aguav Berries from it and then beat down a Goomy outbreak not far away for good measure.

I then head to report to Munchlax girl and Irida shows up to join the chat.
I then head to the new request of the area... probably Adaman wanting a scrap for the other centaur item.
... yep.

He's got Leafeon, Umbreon and Vaporeon. I thunder Fang Vaporeon gone first. Then Umbreon takes 2 Thunder Fangs. Should've stong styled huh. Oh well. A Strong style Crunch for Leafeon sends it into yellow HP. Luxray just barely lives another attack and then I repeat the same crunch to win. I'm sowwy again, eeveelutions from another mother :sadwick:

I get the Adamant Crystal.
I then fly to the next island cave for Azelf. It takes 3 attempts to stun it with Globs and catch it in a Gigaton Ball.
I get a Draco plate after catching it and the mission completes.

I then do my checkup of all the static alphas and come across a non-alpha shiny Lickitung while making my rounds.
Once done I go back to camp and release the mons I caught at the outbreak mission and then put Mesprit on my team.
I first craft some items and buy some more Sticky Globs and then unload unneeded stuff into storage.

Time to grind the Lake Trio's move tasks.

-Caught a shiny Lickitung.

Let's do Mesprit first. Let's see... 25 x Mystical Power, 40 x Recover, 40 x Strong Style moves and 70 x Agile style moves.... 70 agile styles moves... really game? Really? Arf.
I begin by using Grit items to get the effort levels up to 6 and then feed some Exp Candies to have it master Recover. Then the slaughter commences... Mirelands edition.

Recover is kinda annoying as it relies on enemies damaging me first, but I eventually finally wrap this up and perfect Mesprit.
On to Uxie. 25 Mystical Power, 40 Calm Mind, 40 Strong style & 70 Agile style moves. Well Calm Mind should be a bit easier than Recover since it doesn't rely on taking damage first.

Once I've perfected Uxie it's on to Azelf. 25 Mystical Power, 40 Strong style & 70 Agile style moves like the other 2. 40 Self-Destruct though... I can get like 2 of those off before fainting. Does GF hate Azelf ot something? They're telling it to go kill itself for the sake of the dex XD
Well this one is gonna take a while longer than the other 2... which already ate up quite a bit of time.

Once I've finally finished perfecting Azelf by watching it blow up enough times I grab Decidueye again and then return to Jubilife.
I talk to Munchlax girl to start the next outbreak request and then tag along to the Coastlands.

Upon arrival in the coastlands I first get a dialogue with Irida about Firespit Island and then Munchlax girl starts a conversation and the rain suddenly starts.
I bribe Munchlax with some berries and then hit up a Growlithe outbreak hoping for a shiny one. Nope.
I then hit up 3 outbreaks with berries next to them, Qwilfish, Tentacool and Finneon. All in the water so I kill them all instead of catching.

I then head back to Munchlax Girl to wrap up the request. Akari shows up requesting a battle and then runs off.
I have to go after her to fight... ugh. Such battle spam lately.
Anyway Clefairy is up first. Iron Head deletes. Staraptor attack Steelix 2 times before I get to move again but a Strong Style Rock Slide faints it.
Prinplup is next.... really Akari... level 62 Prinplup? You're useless.
It liquidates Steelix a couple times, but 2 High Horsepowers faint it.
Mr Mime then comes in and uses Hypnosis. I switch to Lopunny. Strong Style Giga Impact faints it.
Pikaderp then comes in and attacks 3 times before I get to move again. Drain Punch finishes it.

Some chatter later the request completes. I then fly to Firespit Island for the next main mission. At the marker I meet up with Iscan and Irida at where a lava fall used to be. A short chat and I enter the cave behind them. We walk in on Heatran.
Heatran gets mad and puts up a heat barrier as it runs around and occasionally charges me. I try the Sticky Globs due to them being mentioned before heading here. 2 of them lower the heat barrier somehow... er.. okay. I then stun Heatran and throw a Leaden Ball...
... and that's another first ball throw catch.

I get the Iron Plate afterward for my tableware collection. A bit more dialogue follows and I then pick up all the mud balls before leaving the cave.
I do a quick check of all the interesting static Alphas before heading back to camp where I add Heatran to the team.

Let's see... 25 Fire Fang, 25 Magma Storm, 40 Strong Style moves and 25 Agile Style moves. Sounds okay I guess. Let's start murdering innocent bystander Pokemon...

After a while Heatran has been perfected so I leave the Coastlands.
Once back in Jubilife I immediately head for the Icelands again. I check up on the static Alphas and then return to Snowpoint Temple.
My tableware reacts to the door and it opens. The power of tableware compels thee!

I run down a bunch of stairs ignoring wild Pokemon till I trigger a cutscene with Adaman reacting to Regigigas.
I then approach it and it starts a fight. Oh... no stunning and then easy catching this one huh?
I use 2 Agile Style Water pulses and a normal Water Pulse and then chuck an Ultra Ball. First throw catch yet again.

I get a Blank Plate and a chat with Adaman and the braviary girl. The mission completes and I leave by fast traveling.
At the camp I check Regigigas' move tasks. 25 Iron Heads, 25 Giga Impacts, 40 Strong style moves and 25 Agile style moves.
Similar to Heatran then. Might take a bit due to Regigigas slow start though.

Eh, that wasn't that bad. Kinda wish they'd stop putting low PP moves in the tasks though. Can only use them 3 times before needing to go back to camp to replenish PP or use a Leppa berry.
Anyway Regigigas perfected so it's time to leave again.

What's left... the tableware that's probably Cresellia's, right... yeah looks like it.
I head off to the Highlands and to the arena to talk to the blue thing and the old lady.
I get sent straight into the confrontation with Cresselia in the former Electrode arena without even needing to change the time of day... feels wrong fighting Cresellia with the sun out, but oh well.

It puts up some sort of area of effect thing that confuses your movement temporarily. I notice I can use my mounts so I use Braviary to go up into the air and drop down onto Cresselia. I then use Sticky Globs to break the barrier and end the area effect. It takes multiple attempts but she goes into a Gigaton Ball eventually.

I get the Dread Plate afterward and a chat with the blue thing and the old lady.
I head to camp afterward and put Cresselia on my team. 25 Moonblast, 25 Lunar Blessing, 25 Strong style and 40 Agile style moves.
Isn't Lunar Blessing the one that makes you faint? Ah, no that's Lunar Dance... this is a new move introduced in PLA. It heals you and restores status and obscures vision... wonder if that last part lets me use it without having to take damage first.
Seems so... good, makes this a bit easier and faster.

I perfect Cresselia relatively fast.
I then box her and take Decidueye back onto the team. Then I check the other camps for Munchlax girl.
Nothing... didn't she say we were meeting in the highlands? Hmm... guess I need to progress the postgame main story first then.

I head to the Ancient Retreat to do just that. I check my inventory... I got 16 of the 18 tableware pieces.
Looks like I'm missing Ghost and Fairy.... gotta be Giratina for Ghost right... Fairy... maybe the new genie?
I head inside and talk to Cogita. She requests 3 logs forcing me to go outside and rummage through my storage for them.

Back inside I hand them over. Volo comments on the plates not being dinner plates.... oi that was my joke D=
Cogita then just gives me the Fairy Plate just like that. Volo tells me to go to the Celestica Ruins next.
I return to town and then head over. I head to the quest marker and we stare at a destroyed statue.
Volo starts talking about Giratina... Volo knows too much about a Pokemon nobody else seems to know about, me thinks.

After the chat I head through the cave to the top again... and then it's off to the quest marker in the temple.
Upon approaching Volo he starts having an evil smirk as he starts ranting about how cool he and Giratina are and wanting to enslave Arceus.
Well it's not very surprising... dude knew about Giratina in the first place, something nobody else here seems to.

'Pokemon Wielder' Volo =O
Anyway... time for some death I guess. First I Play Rough his Spiritomb gone.
Lucario comes in and Bullet Punches and then raises it's stats. Two can play that game. I agile Style Double Hit to make my moves deal more damage and then strong Style Drain Punch Lucario gone.
Roserade is next. 1 Giga Impact eliminates it.
Hisuian Arcanine comes in and does some Raging Fury on my Lopunny. Pfff... Drain Punch. Next victim please.
Togekiss comes in and Moonblasts and Calm Minds. I Strong Style Giga Impact and it survives in yellow HP =O
It gets Full Restored immediately. Giga Impact - Moonblast x 2. Then Strong Style Giga Impact. Something that actually puts up a fight huh.
Garchomp comes in and uses Agile style to get 2 hits on Lopunny and faint her... no Lopunny sweep D=
Time for Golduck to shine then... Agile Style Ice Beam almost faints it and I follow up with a normal Ice Beam.

Done already? Volo starts ranting for a bit and then Giratina comes in to say hi.
The fight starts immediately with no healing to my mons. I Revive Lopunny and then Max Potion it while Giratina attacks Golduck a couple times. I then heal Golduck as well.
Calm Mind - Shadow Force. Ice Beam lands. Ice Beam misses due to the obscured nonsense. Then it misses again and Calm Mind wears off so I Calm Mind again. I then Water Pulse as it's my only can't miss move. Pity it's resisted.
Strong Style Water Pulse follows and poor Golduck gets knocked out afterward.
I send Lopunny in and Strong Style Play Rough. Didn't need the damage boost as Giratina was already red HP, but did want the Accuracy improvement.

Giratina then goes "this isn't even my final form" on me! It Aura Spheres me twice into red HP, but 2 Strong Style Play Roughs faint it and it vanishes with it's tail between it's legs. Poor Giratina... beaten by a pink bunny. Probably can't show it's face around it's edgy friends anymore now.
Volo insults Giratina as well and we high five to make more fun of the edgy dragon and then then he hands me the last piece of tableware.
The quest completes and my Celestic Flute becomes the Azure Flute. Volo spouts some more nonsense before leaving.

A new mission activates... I get told to seek out all Pokemon and then play the Azure Flute here.
Guess I'm leaving then. Still got blanks in my PokeDex.

As I leave the area and talk to Laventon he shows me my dex entry for Togekiss is now perfected. Ah right, had to defeat one. Completely forgot tbh.
I return to the village and a cutcene ensues. I get a new request to hunt down Giratina. Already found it's cave by climbing up a mountain on Wyrdeer in the Coastlands so I'll just head straight over after an alpha check up.

One Alpha check up later... I head up the mountain and into the cave. Giratina is there.... just vibing until I approach it.
I Play Rough it once into yellow HP and then start chucking Ultra Balls. It goes in on the 3rd one.
I pick up a Griseous Core after the fight.

I fly back to camp and put Giratina on the team and check the dex for it's tasks. 25 Shadow Claw, 25 Shadow Force, 25 Strong Style moves and 40 Agile Style moves. I feed Giratina some exp candies and grit stuff. Time to start some slaughtering.

Once I perfect Giratina it goes back into the box. I then check my dex... 5 open slots. 4 of those are the genies undoubtedly.... wth is the 5th? it's not at the bottom which is where I assume Arceus to be. Though perhaps it is Arceus? I can't think of any other legendaries or mythicals I'm missing.

Anyway I go talk to Laventon. The mission completes. I then return to the village.
How the heck do I trigger the genies? I check the map and see new requests. The one outside Galaxy hall turns out to be Munchlax girl.
I'm gonna go check inside first then.

A cutscene happens with Cogita as I enter. I get dialogue options for all 3 original genies.
Tornadus = Blizzard in Icelands.
Thundurus = rainstorm in Coastlands.
Landorus = Fieldlands... and she wants me to catch it for her? =O
Wait no specific weather for Landorus? =O

I then head outside to talk to Munchlax girl. She wants me to bring 10 Mushroom Cakes to the Icelands? What about the Highlands... weren't we supposed to do something there too @_@
Anyway... let's go to the Coastlands first I guess.
