The title says all. I'm thinking about ev training my staraptor. What's a good moveset?

    Starpator@Choice Scarf/Life Orb
    Jolly Nature
EVs: 252 Speed and Attack, 6 HP
    ~Brave Bird
    ~Close Combat
    ~Return/Double Edge
    ~U-Turn...probably not with choice scarf...

use it as a starter with Focus Sash, Jolly/Adamant nature

    or

use it as a Jolly physical sweeper with Choice Band.

    i prefer the first.

I love berries. I got the idea from Samson.

    Staraptor @:Wacan Berry/Yache Berry/Salac Berry/Leichi Berry/Charti Berry
    Trait: Intimidate
    Adamant/Jolly Nature
    Brave Bird
    Close Combat
Substitute (to activate some of the berries here)./Roost (not reccomended.
    U-Turn.
For the item. If you don't like Berries, Then use Choice band.

Edit: Samson, I was just stating that i got the idea of using berries from you. I usually saw you Telling people to use Berries on their pokes to rate.

yeah, but i only suggest using berries when that poke has one or two weaknesses that really hurt it, but are quite bulky (like Gyarados, Garchomp, Luxray and Salamence). staraptor on the otherhand has 3 popular weaknesses (ice, rock, electric) and doesn't have good defenses. it's better to just use focus sash to ensure that he can Intimidate the foe to reduce damage, survive a hit, and finish that pokemon off with a supereffective hit, or maybe even get free damage in with U-Turn.

I still like close combat to deal with rock and ice types. Not like its defenses are any good anyways. Forgot about choice band. Maybe use that or one of the berries or something. U-turn can be effective. I forgot focus sash as well, just make sure you have a rapid spinner if it isn't your lead. I's use focus sash.

Oh. Okay. Thanks for the heads up on that. I'll make sure to remember that when rating teams.
