    Hey great guide, this might help my friends whenever they need help with tracking them for shinys.

    That refers to a Pokémon with the ability, Synchronize, like the Ralts-line and Abra-line. Putting such a Pokémon at the lead of your team increases the chances of getting that Pokémon's nature onto the Pokémon you encounter.

    Awesome guide, btw. XD Now we just need a cloning guide, and all the common questions are pretty much gone.

    I was giving a rough estimate, I wasn't really sure and I didn't get to find the data for what the rate of finding a shiny so I just rounded way up XD. I'll fix it.
     
    Awesome guide, but question:

    I've tried chaining before and sadly my highest was 26. Is it true that even when following the rules sometimes the chain just randomly shakes? And after some patches shake during the Pokeradar and say only three shake, is it ok to walk up and down? Because I've heard a few people say only walk side to side.
     
    It's ok to walk any where as long as you don't run into an undesirable patch, I caught a Shiny Krabby today, it's too bad I could only get one XD... Adamant nature w00t!
     
    btw that example route is not a good one to pokeradar on...

    a shiny patch could show up under that person causing close to anyone to commit suicide...

    btw i'm getting pretty good at chaining myself (got 5 shinies in the last 2 days from chaining actually (2 absol, starly, 2 bidoof)

    btw I would also add that it is not necessarily a corner that is bad, but patches where there are not many patches on screen... also you may want to clear up the confusion that hte reason for not stepping into these is not because of the type of pokemon but because the patch could remain silent when stepping into those patches

    you can also search on youtube for a video of the shiny patch... it is often helpful knowing what to look for before you look for it

    EDIT: shiny patches always shine a certain color based on the shading for the time of day... at noon they are white, getting darker to a deepish yellow color, and in the morning i believe they are blue... Once you ahve seen them two or three times you will know exactly what to look for (I've caught like 15 shinies from it so im pretty well acquainted)

    I have gone to corners before, shake just like the first patch, almost always break my chain... I did have a shiny show up where that guy is standing, but I wasn't too concerned (I got 2 shiny Doduos, what more could I want?... XD) Most of the stuff in my guide is just me going from experience. About the example pictures... Emulators already only half run the game and I just wanted to get a basic example. I've gotten 8 shinies from chaining, so I'm just going from how I've gone about it.

    Anywhere with a lot of grass, just a large section of grass that is big and can have many patches shaking.
     
    it think a good thing to add, would be how to get funds to buy all the items and PP restoring moves. I always battle the two old people beside the trophy garden. One has roselia, the other chatot. Put your pokemon with amulet coin in, and you get 25000 money from them each. Easy simple way to get the money you need. Also I would keep in mind you need the poketech application number 20. it shows how many of a certain pokemon you have chained, and its essential if you want to keep a count on your chain.

    Great guide..the only one I've seen with pics and such explaining. I think this should be sticked, and also if you can find a pic of the shiny patch..that would be great everyone always asks how it looks.

    I have another good note to add, when chaining look down at the Pokeradar before you enter another patch after starting a chain, if it just fades it's ok, if the Pokemon you're chaining vanishes as you enter the grass that's an early notification that the chain broke... I'll add it to the first post later...
     
    what do you mean when you say reset the radar, do you just mean start a 0 again?

    Red Circles/Black Circles are generally safe to step in.

    Lots of people think those patches break your chain, well, they're wrong.
    The chain breakes if you go to a patch that wasn't visible when the patches shaked.
    Ex:
    Let's mark those (vertical)lines, from left to righ, 1-11. If you step into the 1st line, you're only able to see 'til the line no. 8. When the pokeradar activates(either when starting/restarting or after the battle) and you're on that line, and you go to the 9th line, your chain will break. This means you cannot step into patches that weren't visible when the song started(you know, the annoying one), if you do, say "bye-bye" to your chain.
     
    I know, but I have had experience to where when I encounter the Pokemon their the chain breaks =\... I don't know what causes them to break sometimes, like one time I went to a shiny patch, encountered shiny bronzor and when I went into the patch, well... Bronzor disappeared so I knew that this was going to be the end of my chain, but I don't see why it broke...

    I'm going to revise my guide shortly...
