Allright, so I was looking through older posts, and I happened to see that in one of my posts, some word was censored. After a few minutes of trying to figure out what the word was, it turned out it was "J ew".
Can someone please explain to me what's wrong with that?
Is Christian censored? I think not.
As someone who follows Judaism, I sort of take this offensively. I understand this is a kids forum, but if you're going to censor that, censor every word concerning religion.

I know what you're saying...

but there ARE insults with the word Jew in them...like Jewbag er whatever...

When the board messed up, the censors were completely reset and any word that could possibly be said as an insult was added to it. o_o; We've been slowly adjusting it back to how it was by changing the filter settings and removing words but we haven't gotten them all it seems. ^_^;

It's most commonly used as an insult or derrogative term for gays rather than in everyday (polite) conversation, so there's merit to leaving it censored, I'd say...o_o

I remember typing a post a few weeks ago with the world "jewel" in it and finding it censored. I had no idea why either. Thanks for the explanation though.

And pika2000, I know g-ay isn't really a 'bad word', but it says in the rules not to call things "g-ay" as an insult. I don't see why this can't be censored, no one really says the definition that means 'happy' any more and if you're saying someone is g-ay without meaning to be offensive you can say "homosexual". Gah, I dunno.

F-ag? Well, the only real use for that word is as an insult, so...

Oh, and whenever I try to type a japanese word or anime title such as "Full Moon wo Sagash-ite" it comes up censored. I can understand the censoring of sh-t, but it kind of gets on my nerves that I have to put little -'s in the word.
