Recently, I've been getting an alert in my Notifications area informing me that I have an unread visitor message. However, I've seen the message a million times by now and it won't disappear. I don't know enough about vBulletin (I don't think I have the permissions, anyways) to reset the Notifications to 0 Unread items.

Could someone guide me through steps on how to fix this issue?
    Thanks
    TAF

I get that problem sometimes.. just go in and delete a couple random VMs.

That makes it go away for me, at least.

First, check the VM that won't go away in your VMs tab. Then, at the bottom of the VMs tab, click on the drop box and click "unapprove messages." Then press "go." Then go back to your profile, click "approve messages," then click "go." It should go away after that.

If it doesn't, just delete an old VM you don't need anymore.

For those seeking a more technical answer, refreshing the notification cache (if that's what it is...) by modification/deletion of data (a VM), the notification should go away.

I know it's been answered, I just wanted to add a bit of technical info. :3
