Ok, this is how it works:

    Step 1:
Get a Pokemon with the move Mean Look or a Pokemon with the ability Arena Trap, or Shadow Tag with low HP. Make sure your team also has low HP.

    Step 2:
Go to the town that is closest to Mesprit/Cresselia using the marking map, and heal there. Then go to the opposite route of Mesprit/Cresselia and DON'T FLY!

    Step 3:
Run into a wild Pokemon on that route, that can hopefully kill your whole team. You WILL lose money!

    Step 4:
You should go back to that PokeCenter, right by Mesprit/Cresselia, and go and chace it.

This is mainly good if you are really far from where they are, and want to get close to them. (I found it out when an Octillery killed my whole team by Sunnyshore, and I went right to Jublife where I last healed, which was by Mesprit)

I don't understand. The direction the two Pokemon go are random. You're better off not losing half your money - just travel between routes - Mesprit and Cresselia will automatically change routes to one which it is adjacent to or teleport away to a new location.

Arena trap doesn't work on Pokemon with Levitate.

You also spelled Suta-Raito.com wrong on your signature credits - that's not good.

merspirit/cresselia isnt that hard to catch. and i never heard of that method being used before (referring to Sigma_Crobat's method). all i used was a zapdos to paralyze it, than when i fought it again, mean look, and beat on it unti it has a red bar, than kept throwing balls until its caught. usually would take 3 or 4 rounds.

I just went north of jubilife, then back down to jubilife, then back up, over and over and over until whichever one it was appeared in the part of the route right above Jubilife. Then mean look'd it, sleep'd it, then threw balls like crazy after whittling down it's HP a little.

For me, I used False Swipe. Let it run, fought it again with Wobbuffet lead.

You probably havn't heard it before because I made it up ;)

I posted a method for FR/LG with the dogs but the Marking Map makes it even easier. I use Solaceon Town, so in my case it would be:

    1. Put the Marking Map app in the Pokétch
    2. From Solaceon, go to the route below
    3. Go to Solaceon
    4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the Pokémon come to that route.

With the Dex you had to check so it was really tiring. If you can see them moving just there, it's best to do this. Didn't take me more than 5 minutes to find each of them.

Valley Windworks and Route 204 is the two areas I used to catch those two. Both of these areas have grass so I just keep on crossing the boundary between Route 204 and Valley Windworks until one of them eventually appears. Didn't take that long. Caught them both with my Master Balls that I cloned.

no offense but i prefer my way:

1: Get a level 100 scyther. *your own or borrowing, you can also substitute a more powerful pokemon close to mesprit or cresselia's level*

2: Run into it. simple really.

3: Use False Swipe if you are extremely strong or high level.

4: Mesprit will run, and whenever you run into it again it'll always be at 1hp, thus making it ridiculously easy to catch. use a quick ball, that's what i did. *then reset the game 'cause i like to listen to the battle music for mesprit, so he's still running around with 1hp lol*

simple. as said, you can substitute scyther with a pokemon near mesprit/cresselia's level, to give it one good swipe and bring it's hp down. or, you can use mean look like with a golbat, and slowly whittle it's HP down, then switch out Golbat and let it run. next time use a quick ball. problem solved.

Well, I do the same thing as shiny Umbreon, I just used my Level 37 Wobbufet and used Max Repels so that I didn't run into anything but them.

Although I havn't caught them yet (Becuase I can't be bothered)I know there is no skill to catching them, not saying it's easy, it is hard, but, you'd be better off running around for 5 hours chasin the darn things. Because, you don't want to lose all your money....

Still sorta on topic (Kinda) But aswell, if you have a masterball and you can't decide which one to catch with it, catch Cresselia, it is much stronger and is a better pokemon than mesprit, higher level, better moves, all around good!
