A new Pokemon master has emerged!

Hey everybody! I just made my account and this forum seems really nice!

I've started playing Pokemon Y some time ago and have Charizard, Heliolisk, Sylveon, Shiny Goomy (bad nature but it's still a shiny!) and Chesnaught as my HM slave (I'll get better Poke instead later). I'm looking for good chats and information! And new friends, of course!

Oh, and is a Goomy (the shiny) too bad if it has a nature that lowers Sp. Def. and raises Speed? I will get a Goodra anyways but will this do the trick?

But anyway, have you read the community rules yet? its essential to get to know them, thats why they're called 'rules' :P

i havent got any of the sixth gen games yet, nor a 3ds ;~; but i do battle competitively on online simulators, which is kinda playing xy already xD

now on to the points! chatting is really fun imo, feel free to post a vm on my profile anytime you wish, i dont bite c: also, you might want to try the battle center if you're looking for competitive tips and resources and our very own battle simulator if you wanna test any future teams or meet really cool people :D

so yea, dont hesitate to contact a person in bold blue (e.g. moderators) or any other person which has a bold name :p and about that goomy... goodra isnt really speed-oriented, its more of a special tank which can fight back. but in-game, its okay AND ITS A SHINEEE!!!

Hey there Ebu. Unfortunately the nature your Goomy has will hinder it's viability. If you plan to battle other people online, I suggest you research the breeding mechanics of XY. If you really want a shiny Goodra that is good competitively, you should learn about the items and boons that increase shiny chances and good IVs and nature.

But, if you are just using your shiny Goomy to play against the game, it'll do fine! Better than fine!

Natures really don't matter much if you don't battle competitively so I wouldn't let it bother you. A shiny is a shiny, after all! You're so very lucky since a lot of people would love to have a shiny Goomy. Haha, I love Chespin but am still not very much into Chesnaught so I ended up boxing mine before I beat the E4. Still waiting to get that Whimsicott as my primary grass type but unfortunately I don't have a Cottonee yet.
