A New World

Hello, and welcome to my new GFX gallery thread where you may see my old art work and even new.
Anyways, time to give a little back information. I've been doing graphics for 2 years, almost 3 years.
I do not use Photoshop if some of you guys are asking, I use gimp.
If you want tutorials, then please look them up on deviant art because I don't make tuts.

I was trying something new that I have learned from a .psd that I had acquired. I Like the outcome of the purple signature, but not the brown one

Okay, so about this one...

I like the placement of your render, but I'm not too sure about the text on the left, the white seems a bit too bright. Again, on the left side, I feel that there isn't much flow...

The only complaint I have about this one is the text, it doesn't seem to really fit, and it isn't that good readable.

not so much to say, the only thing is, they feel very empty. Especially the first one, they don't have text, and I don't see any other decoration.

And then, about the vertical tags, I absolutely adore them! The first and the fourth one, are in my opinion, the best.

As last, your newest ones; I like the brown one more, actually ;3.
I think the circles on the purple one are a bit 'busy'. But, myeah.. It's still pretty good (:

Oh, and. I read you use GIMP, whow. I tried working with it once. I failed. Miserably.
+ the ones I haven't said anything about, that's because I don't have anything to say on them. Except maybe that I love the smudging technique you used on some of them.

The first signature was from a tut.

2nd signature was okay. It was just a test with somethings.

My 2 yuyuko signatures were just smudge signatures.

Wow, I love your work.

They all flow together nicely and the colors work quite nicely.

This one is my personal favorite. I like the colors, the feel, and just about everything about it XD

Most of your things look pretty nice, but a lot of it is very simple which could be improved. Worst of all in my opinion is this:

All you did there was pretty much open a canvas size, put the wallpaper in and add some patterns. The quality of it is also very low. But from what I can see, you probably posted these from old to new so it's nothing to complain a lot about. Another example of simplicity is this:

Don't get me wrong, the simplicity looks nice to some extent, but nothing to be impressed by. So there could be improvements. Mostly I think you should try using C4Ds and fractals a bit more and try different ways of using them because them being used in the right way can look very nice.

So, some of these look very nice but some of them are too simplistic for my liking, so I think your signatures would start to look even better if you practiced a bit more with C4Ds and fractals.

I see what you mean. I'm getting tired of making a lot of "simple things" but I love simple. :3

Hey Ashe,

I think its time I comment on your thread because it seems to be getting a whole lot of attention. First thing I noticed when I saw the collection of tags you have, and the stuff you have on your DA is your lighting and blurring. Fact of the matter is I love your tags, but not for your effects (which don't really wow me in any of your tags), but for your lighting and blurring which for the most part are always excuisite. To make that even more cool, you are doing such a good job with (with one exception) exclusively anime stocks and renders, which in my experience I have found is hard to lighten and create depth with because of their original lack of shading.

So in conclusion you are doing an amazing job. Id be interested to see what a tag of yours would look like if you put a little something extra into more effects, but at the same time you have your own style down which I think works for you.

Keep on practicing, and making great tags.
