A pattern which I do not want to see in the future

    If only episodes where the girls are together with Ash are counted (thus not counting May's 10 second appearance in DP075)

    Misty was with Ash in Hoenn for 2 episodes
    May was with Ash in Sinnoh for 4 episodes
    Dawn was with Ash in Unova for 8 episodes

    Please don't tell me Iris will be with Ash in Kalos for 16 episodes.....
     
    That's an interesting pattern, but I don't think that it will continue. I think it's more coincidence than anything.

    Well, at least I sure hope so...
     
    Iris will probably show up, but I don't think it will be as long as Dawn. Dragons really do not play a big part in Kalos and there really is no real way to bring Iris back. Misty, it was new and they came up with an episode for Misty to return. May, there was a big Contest, and with Dawn, there was a big tournament.

    I can see Iris coming and catching a new dragon pokemon though and with Dragons being weak to Fairies, I can see her coming in for that. I wouldn't worry about her being back for 16 episodes unless there is a big arc in the middle of the series.
