A Pichu In Unova

Hello and welcome to my White 2 Journey Journal! Basically, I have played every Pokemon game except Black and White 2, so I recently ordered White 2 and it has arrived. I am really looking forward to playing through it, as it has been awhile since these games were released and I do not remember much about them.

Anyways, I started my journey last week. I met my rival/friend Hugh (yeah, I kept his name as Hugh... I am unoriginal) and then met Bianca who game me my first Pokemon! Ok, to be honest, I hate the Unova starters and most of their evolutions... but I chose Snivy because I kind of like Serperior. I'm actually not sure if I will keep my starter through my journey or not, but we'll see!

As you can see from above, I currently have two badges. Cheren and Roxie were not that difficult. Luckily, I had caught a Magnemite which helped a great deal for Roxie. After sitting through the extremely annoying PokeStar Studios tutorial, I took the boat from Virbank to Castelia City!

Hello! Time for another update. I arrived at Castelia City, and explored around a bit since it is such a huge city. Got some nice items, including the bicycle which is always nice, then tracked down Team Plasma in the Castelia Sewers. After dealing with that bit, I took on the gym. This gym was luckily a breeze with Growlithe, it was over pretty quick! Torched those bugs.

After gaining my third badge, I headed towards the desert. I HATE THIS ROUTE. Doing all these battles with the sandstorm is incredibly annoying. I had a quick battle with Colress, checked out the ruins for just a bit before I got fed up with the sandstorm and trainers, and headed to Nimbasa. I know I will have to go back to the ruins later, but didn't feel like dealing with it yet.

Currently I am grinding against some Audino because I feel under-leveled. I did some battles in the Nimbasa stadiums and they had like level 24-26s. I ended up ditching my Servine for Maractus; I've never used one so I want to try it out.

Since last time, I did a bit more training before taking on Elesa. I've been pretty nervous for this fight. Elesa can definitely be one of the toughest leaders in the game.

But it worked out.. a lot better than I thought it would actually! I thought I would use Growlithe and just Dig everything (except the Emolga), but the true MVP was Maractus! She took out both the Emolga and the Flaaffy. I was surprised. Having Attract and Synthesis definitely helped, but Needle Arm did a surprising amount of damage. Maractus got the Zebstrika down to the yellow, and then Growlithe came in and used Dig for the finish. So relieved this gym is done!

Haven't had much time to play more, but here is the team:

Not sure what to evolve Eevee into yet. Also might ditch Magnemite but since it is close to evolving we'll see.

Entry #4

Since last time, I made my way to Driftveil. Happy to report another gym down! I defeated Clay with ease thanks to Azumarill and Maractus. Gotta say, Maractus has been surprising me through this playthrough. I would definitely recommend trying one out if you never have!

After that, I had to go through the World Tournament tutorial. I love the PWT, but I found it annoying that I had to do three rounds before progressing. Anyway, I defeated Hugh, Cheren and Colress in the PWT. I will definitely visit the PWT later on to battle leaders from other regions!

After that, we encountered Team Plasma on their big boat hideout thing and did some battles until the Shadow Triad kicked us out. Then we headed to Chargestone Cave where I picked up some new team members!

I caught a Nosepass in Chargestone Cave, where apparently it evolves into Probopass when leveling up. Never used a Probopass before, so I am going to try it out! Never used a Tynamo either. I can't wait to evolve Growlithe once it learns Flamethrower. Also Eevee evolved into Umbreon <3

Hi I've been bad about updating this.

Since last time, we've defeated all the gyms in Unova! Really had little to no trouble with the last three gym leaders. I was worried about Drayden since I do not have any Ice or Dragon types/moves on my Pokemon, but ACROBATICS ELEKTROSS wrecked him.

Currently I need to save the world or something. Hugh and I are tracking down Plasma so they can stop freezing the world and stuff. I'll probably complete the game this week.
