A Pokemon MMO?

    I dunno if there are any topics on this. If there is, I'm sorry. =o I'm pretty new here and don't know how to work things yet. Putting that aside, have you guys ever wanted to play a Pokemon MMO? I know DP has a Wireless Communication System, but instead you can play from anywhere and meet up with anyone? That's my ideal for Pokemon. D: Would you guys ever play a Pokemon MMO if there was one? And I know I saw an ad on this site saying something about a Pokemon MMO.

    It has ass graphics, but honestly, it > EV training, and it's much faster to find people to battle. Of course, you'll find no originality whatsoever.
     
    Shoddy isn't exactly an MMO. It isn't, well, the massively bit, as all battles are one one. Agreed, Pokemon could perfectly fit the MMO mould, and there have been more than a few homebrew attempts at it - and all of them falling short in terms of completeness, usability or userbase. If a more unified effort was made for one, the community could probably do it, and it could be cool. An official, big 3D one would be even nicer. It's all perfectly possible - and a lot of people want to see one, I assure you.
     
    Really? I'd really like to see a real MMO in action, like a PKMN game but with people! ^^; I'll go see that!
    Ah, I wonder if they can actually get it done. I'm rooting!
     
    Yes this is a good idea. No Game Freak/Nintendo won't make it.
    God knows why, but Nintendo just likes to beat the same old dead horse time and time again.

    If there was an official MMO release for PC (or even a handheld? :O) even I'd get it.

    I know there are some MMO's in development in the Game Development forum but none of them are nearly close to being finished. The most popular one I believe is Kyldeove's Massive multiplayer online game.
     
    As long as it has PvP (Pokemon vs People), I'd jump onto it like hot pancakes prepared by a tsundere school girl.
    Though I expect to have grandchildren by the time Nintendo/Gamefreak actually decide to make a Pokemon-based MMO game.
     
    Shoddybattle? I mean where you can earn your Pokemon, capture them.
    Shoddybattle is just battling people. =X Besides, you can just MAKE your
    own PKMN. That's kinda not fun.

    Touhoumon is the closest to that.

    THERE IS an official Pokémon MMO, I forgot the name but it's on Yahoo! kids Japan.
    Also Pokémon Indigo is like Crater but flashed based.
     
    I don't why Nintendo wont make a Pokemon Mmo. It has all the elements that are commonly found in mmos like grinding, farming and etc. Also, I have no doubt they would get million of active players in no time. I guess they just don't want to take the risk.
