5th Gen A question about the PC boxes

    I just noticed something on Black that bothered me. Ok, so I was going crazy with Poketransfer, sending my old veterans to the new battlefield by the truckload. Then I noticed when I was switching boxes, there were only 8 boxes in the PC! All my other games have around 18. Does it really have that low of a memory?
     
    No, it all depends on how many Pokémon you have in your Pokédex, first. You have to have, I believe, 50 Pokémon in your Pokédex to start. That will get you 16 boxes. Then, when you have that requirement fulfilled, you have to have AT LEAST 1 Pokémon in each box. That will get you another 8, getting you 24 boxes.

    No, the amount of pokémon in your pokédex doesn't matter. If you put atleast one pokémon in each box you'll get extra boxes. You can do this two times, untill there are 18-20 boxes (don't know the exact amount).
     
    As long as you have caught and obtained 24 Pokémon (actually 25, since you'll need at least one in your team obviously); for the most, you're perfectly good to go. Put one in each box and you'll have all 24 boxes. :o It's been tested by the way, and it's official too.
