hmm, how about psychic/charge beam/gyro ball/stealth rock? you lose grass knot which really comes in handy vs donphan/hippow/etc, but psychic and electric do have decent coverage. you definitely want charge beam on there, that's a given.

Okay, that sounds good. Problem is I know nothing about Bronzong, and something tells me Smogon is in the same boat as me (lol), so EV help and crap is kinda needed.

I'd like max HP and both sides of the defensive spectrum well-covered, especially the physical side.

You'd need to be able to at least 2HKO Gyara with Charge Beam, but I don't know what EV's you'd want. Max HP, perhaps around 186 Def, I think it's the mark for surviving....something... (o.0 I'm tired, I forget, but I do remember 186 Def survives 2HKO with Leftovers from a common Physical Sweeper, sorry I cannot be much more of a help... :()

well, i think the important thing to note is that bronzong must be able to take a focus punch if it's up against breloom.

so definitely go with relaxed nature. as far as evs, let me do some calculations.

with 252 HP Relaxed no DEF evs, breloom's focus punch (adamant 252 atk) does 65-76%. with the same setup but 252 DEF evs, you get 52-61% damage. i think 228-232 DEF evs is good enough to pair with leftovers. not many brelooms have max atk with adamant nature, but it could happen.

and as far as having to 2HKO gyara, it's not all that necessary. it can get gyara down to the point where dusknoir can finish it if it ever came to that. the importance of charge beam is to prevent stalling verses other steels, especially those like skarmory who will do serious damage to this team if starmie gets knocked out, which it eventually will trying to switch into STAB hits directed for someone else.

As Samson suggested, even with 252HP/252DEF Brongzong can't guarantee surviving 2 Focus Punch from Breloom.. which is why I don't think it needs to have a defensive build at all.. at least as a sleep talker.

yah i use it myself and it sweeps... literally. mine doesn't have psychic so it was lulzy seeing it nearly OHKO a jolteon with luster cannon.
