I'll bet he'll call it a "Pokemon caught during the war". So I'm thinking either Japanese or German, a reference to World War II since it is the most well known war that America was a part of.

That's a good theory but,I never knew pokemon had countries in the pokemon world...who mentioned in which game about America...

It would be nice if we get a Japanese Pikachu, though its name would only be americanized when it evolves.

But in the back of my head...I just think that it would be another disappointment--another feature that is also only in a Japanese game.

Noticing that Lt. Surge is based off as an ex-lieutenant of a recent past war, most claim it'll be a Pikachu he got during the war. Considering most of the recent wars taken place and for the American Version many consider it to be a German or Vietnamese Pikachu. However, the possibility of it being a Japanese Pikachu remains open. It's basically where the reference of war came into discussion though.

The most they can do is keep it a Japanese or American Pikachu rather than go into high detail on what specific area (or war) it came from. More than likely they wouldn't change who trades you what as there is no real reason in doing so.
