Probably seen some of these before, but I decided to make them all one image. A collection of sorts. Here's the stories behind each one (deep breath).
Legendary babies: I'm not crazy about the concept of pre-evolved legends, but I though it would be a fun challenge. Raikou was the hardest, and it still looks the funniest. Raikou has the head of Ratata, Jigglypuff ears, a Growlithe body, Vulpix tails for its clouds, and coloring and other parts from its parent.
Entei's head is a mix of Spearow and Ursaring for the muzzle (tweaked so it could fit), the body of Houndour, the tail of Growlithe, and of course, its parent's coloring.
And finally Suicune, the easiest one to make. It's basically Vulpix with the tails chopped off, recolored Misdreavus hair, and additional tweaks to the face and coloring to make it look more like Suicune's child.
The calf: It was fun to design and it went through several color changes. It has kind of Miltank's cutesyness crossed with Tauros' feral look. It's a nice blend of the two bovines. It has a few details from both sprites, and the tiny body of Skitty.
Me: I'm basically the supernerd or whatever they're called in the games, but with brown hair and fatter legs.
Flareon: I used the heads of Flareon but tweaked so it actually has a mouth, the tails are from Growlithe, and the bodies are from scratch. I forget where the red is from.
Those other guys: They're basically all tweaks, except Tyrogue who has arms from one of his older sprites. Neener neener!
Hounds: Houndour was the hardest, oddly. It was quite difficult to straighten out its body and make it look good. I hate the way the official sprite looks. The seated Houndoom had some leg issues, but I got him to look good. And finally, my pride and joy, the Sugimori style Houndoom. Other than the horns, the head is all scratch.
Deer: Basically Stanler blended with the Rapidash from Emerald. It can't fit onto a battle screen, but it's neat.
The pets: The doberman is an obvious Houndoom tweak with the red color taken from shiny Blaziken. The cat's head is a mix of Zangoose with Jigglypuff ears, the body of Espeon, and a Mankey tail (since Espeon's tail would be hidden behind the head, and not look too good).
