A Wish to Fly

From where I fly, what will I see?
Heaven's above shedding tears
Gently it touches my fragile frame
I stand firm, though maybe I'll fail

For the earth below is not hell
Fire burns and saying otherwise
Red is the color of vengeance
Of that no tears could remedy

Is there something beyond the cloud?
Or these tears only a mirage
Flying between the sky and earth
Filled with fears - unspeakable

For when the wind carries me high
My existence is compromised
My fate is put into thy hand
To help me lift this cross I bear

Blow me up high into the sky
So I can catch a glimpse of thee
Though if there's nothing I will find
I'll float with memories within

Pretty impressive and I must say some exceptional work standing out in these parts of the forums. I love your use of slant rhymes and the rythm is just excelent. Ah, and the imagery stands out and what is so good about this is that your poetry both makes sense and it keeps away from being so meticolously corny. Kudos and good job!
