The size for overworld's poccil used in his starter kit is 27 by 37(This is for individual sprite's.) The usual size from a game is 16 by 16ish so to resize everything correctly what you need to do is open up 3 instances of paint.

Make one of them 27 by 37 in image attributes.

In the other open up your trainer spritesheet.

In the third open up any character set that is already pokemon style.

Take the sprite from the sprite sheet and copy it into the 27 * 37 paint. Make sure you only copied what is the actual sprite, aka no white space.

Resize it to the corner's of the box.

Paste in the character set and center the feet over the old character's feet. Now do this with the rest.

    Notes:
If you don't get this either don't attempt this or don't overwrite your other files.

This is to match poccil's size only.

This is for kanto fire red leaf green style only, I have not tested with daimnd and pearl and I also believe those sprites are already the right size.

Oh dang your right, can a mod please move this?

Alright Ill upload a few in a sec let me just make them >.<

This works for Windows 7 users. It's much easier to resize the picture. Open it in ms paint, then select it. After that press Control + "W" and a window should pop up that will let you resize a sprite. Just type 200% horizontally and vertically and you'll have the image you want.

Yes that is if it is already in character set form though...

Nope. That's how I resized my platinum hero spriter. Resizing works perfectly with that method. All you need to do then is just to put it RMXP format, which is quite easy. If you have a program that can do layers, just put the new sprites on top of existing ones, and delete the base layer.

Ah I know what you mean now, you can do that on XP but for some reason instead of the outline being two pixels wide it is 3(1 dark 1 kinda dark and one almost transparent.) It looks terrible on XP, no clue why XD.

If you dont mind me asking, I think that the smaller sprites look better so why not just use those? Does using the smaller ones interfear with making the game? I think that when the sprites are stretched out like in the pokemon essentials starter it looks kinda crappy. I personally like the smooth look of the smaller ones over the larger pixelated ones.
