thats the only way to clone that im aware of and ya i use AR to clone

Yea well there is the GTS and I don't like people cloning my pokemon on the GTS

It only works on diamond and pearl, you put a pokemon you want to clone on offer and you turn your DS off and then when you turn it back on it will say the save file has corrupted and the previous save file will be loaded and then you check to see if the pokemon you wanted to clone is in your party then you go on the GTS and check to see if the pokemon is still on offer.
