4th Gen abilities

quick question i noticed that some pokemon have the option of 2 abilites for example toxicroak has dry skin/anticipation. my question is can a pokemon only have one ability? for example if i wanted to breed to get croagunk will it get either anticipation or dry skin? or will it get both?

it can only get one, those are all of the possible abilities it can have

When you encounter a Pokemon, it will have a 50% chance of having one ability, and 50% chance of having the other. It can only have one ability, though. No Pokemon ever has two abilities.

you will notice that when you're breeding a pokemon with two abilities, that the ones with the right nature and IVs always have the wrong ability... im still working on a good Dugtrio
