FALSE. Satoshi has a mother and a father. He was born like a normal kid. Houou is not "God." Religion has no place with Pok?mon and I highly doubt Japan would base it like that considering Christianity isn't exactly big over there.

As for Ookido-Hakase being Satoshi's father, it's rather creepy. He was still a much older man even when Satoshi's mother was a teen. o_O I highly doubt she'd be going for old men. Not to mention Satoshi's name would be Ookido Satoshi (or Ash Oak to you dubbies). Since he has no relation to Ookido-Hakase (plus his mother said his father was on a journey), this easily disproves the professor as his father.
 
Just out of curiosity , Elite Trainer Raven, do you have any theories as who Ash'es father is?

As for me, I think he's probably just a regular trainer, they really haven't given his character much background at all...

I'll have to agree with that. 99.9% of stuff thrown at us throughout the odd 400-or-so episodes of Pocket Monsters has been totally predictable, so why would you depend on the anime producers to slam out an unpredictable twist, such as Satoshi having a father?

Although this theory has been countered, I do concur. There's just too big an age difference for that to be possible, especially on an anime aimed at kids.
 
I've said it a thousand times, Satoshi's father isn't important. He's just a regular person that they don't need to show. Satoshi's the typical RPG kid that's missing a parent that no one really cares or mentions about. Out of 276 Pocket Monsters Episodes and 128+ Pocket Monsters AG episodes, Satoshi's father was only mentioned once and that was in Pocket Monsters episode 2.

I wasn't saying Hoho's god, just powerful. Like lugia contrals everything about his legend, Hoho controls everything about his. I would make since that he created someone to serve him on earth.
 
well, I don't mean to be the different man, or woman in my case but I think Wataru could be Satoshi's father. It seems good to me. you don't have to agree with me, all I ask is not to flame me! *ducks*
 
Well this according to my fic Pokemon Revenge.

Ash's Father, Henry Ketchum, was a Pokemon Master but joined the Wild Force, a division of the Pokemon G-men who protect humans from rogue wild Pokemon that attack or even kill humans. But then he discovered Team Magma's intentions. But he got captured and was imprisoned for 10 years prior to my fic. Then in second episode of Pokemon Revenge he returned and reported back to Wild Force and his family but he's now too old about 50 years old already.

Ash Ketchum is in fact the incarnation of ho-oh when he lightsaber-battle with Wugi.

You guys would have to read the fic yourselves

Huh?? where do you get that proof from? Ash is not so absentminded as Elm
 
I think Ash's father is Mewtwo. At the start of his journey, Team Rocket 'tricked' him into pkmn genetic research. Once he helped the scientists find Mew's DNA, they used his life vessel as a starter for Mewtwo's main structure. At the result of the opperation, Ash's father lost his memory, and became the Legendary Mewtwo.

I don't know for sure... this is just a fan fic I'm working on.. :) but, doesn't it make a little sense?
