Wild battle, trainer battle, or trainer x wild battle? If wild, Abra, because it can Teleport. If trainer, then Diglett, because Abras aren't allowed to Teleport from trainer battles, and Diglett actually has damaging-attacks. If wild x trainer battle, then Abra, once again, because it's just too quick.

Yeah I agree with you 100% Redstar.
Teleport helps Abra a lot.

Teleporting does not mean the Abra has won the battle - it'd mean Abra forfeited the match to the opponent or at the very least the match is a draw. I'd say a Diglett would win, better stats and stuff.

If Abra can't Teleport, Diglett would smack it with Faint Attack.

And I don't know Diglett moves so fast with that...

Abra has 105 Sp.A and 90 Speed, Diglett has 55 Atk and 95 Speed.
Both have weak enough defenses to get OHKOd by each other, so i'd say Diglett would win in a one on one trainer match (with TMs used). Wild battle would be a draw since Abra would flee with Teleport, as mentioned above.
Overall usefulness... Hard to say, Diglett has Arena Trap, but Abra has more sheer power to OHKO stuff... I'd say Abra, Diglett needs its foe to have lackluster defenses (like Abra) or being already weakened to be able to KO.

I thought these kinds of threads had to have some type of similarity? Unless I'm missing it.
Nonetheless I think Abra would win. It has an almost equal speed and special attack. If you gave it a quick claw along with the move energy ball you would probably win.

Quick Claw? Quick Claw works like 10% of all time, so Choice Scarf would probably be better.

It was the only speed promoting item I could think of. Your right though Choice scarf would be better.
