Note:This is not my first competitive team, but it is the first one I'm posting. Also, if anyone can tell me how to post images, I'd really like to know.
Jolteon @ Choice Specs
6 HP/ 252 SpAtk/ 252 Spe
Timid
Volt Absorb
Moves:Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, HP Ice, Charge Beam
Thunderbolt is obviously for STAB. It has good power and great accuracy, plus there's always paralysis, so it's a keeper. Shadow Ball is good, decent type coverage and all that. HP Ice is to cover ground types, obviously. CB is good as a finisher, and the SpAtk boost is a nice bonus, but I'm willing to take any suggestions for a replacement. I'd say the Ev spread is pretty self-explanatory, so I'll skip that. The Choice Specs are for boosting Jolt's already incredible SpAtk, so all around, he's a great special sweeper and easy to switch in.
Cloyster @ Leftovers
252 HP/ 6 SpA/ 252 SpD
Relaxed
Shell Armor
Moves:Spikes, Rapid Spin, Ice Beam, Explosion.
I intend on making Cloyster the lead for this team. He's got enough Def to lay down Spikes and do some damage. Rapid Spin to do away with anything the opposition tries to lay down. If I see an electric attack coming, Jolteon switches in to absorb it. Ice Beam is for any Dragons, as well as soften other types up, letting explosion finish them off once his job is done. As for his Ev's, Cloyster already has some great Def, so I want to focus on putting some work into his SpD. The 6 Ev's for SpA are to give Ice Beam a little extra power, and HP is pretty obvious. Leftovers help to bolster his defences, making him a great wall for both special and physical attackers.
Infernape @ Choice Scarf
171 Atk/ 171 SpAtk/ 168 Spe
Naive
Blaze
Moves:Close Combat, Flamethrower, Grass Knot, Will-O-Wisp
Close Combat has incredible base power and STAB, letting it OHKO quite a lot. I prefer Flamethrower as a special over Fire Blast for the sake of accuracy, plus it also has STAB. Grass Knot is to cover his weakness to water and ground. Will-O-Wisp is an instant burn, making it a great support move. Ev spread is to take advantage of it's mixed sweeping capabilities and Choice Scarf is to make it faster than most sweepers.
Absol @ Expert Belt
6 HP/ 252Atk/ 252 Spe
Jolly
Super Luck
Moves:Sucker Punch, Super Power, Swords Dance, Psycho Cut.
Sucker Punch is a great STAB move that can 2HKO any sweepers who try to outrun him. Super Power can hit anything hard that's not prepared for it. Swords Dance to boost his already incredible Atk power. Finally, Psycho Cut covers his weakness to fighting types. All of these moves are boosted by Expert Belt, granted the attacks must be Super Effective to work, but still. Basic Ev spread and nature for a physical sweeper makes Absol hit hard and fast.
Wobbuffet @ Leftovers
6 HP/ 252 Def/ 252 SpD
Calm
Shadow Tag
Moves:Encore, Counter, Mirror Coat, Safeguard.
The only real set up for Wobbuffet. I'm sure people have seen this plenty of times, so I'll just skip it.
Skarmory @ Shed Shell
252 HP/ 82 Atk/ 176 Def
Impish
Keen Eye
Moves:Brave Bird, Roost, Stealth Rock, Whirlwind.
Brave Bird has great STAB and base power to make up for Skarmory's weak Atk. Roost helps to keep him in the battle longer, as well as eliminate his weakness to electric attacks for a turn, long enough to switch in Jolteon, should the need arise. Stealth Rock combined with Cloyster's Spikes do quite a bit of damage upon entry. And Whirlwind is the best way to do fast and effective damage to the entire opposing team.
A rather unique team, I'm sure. But I think it's pretty good. I made it with Marriland's team builder, so there aren't three who share a type weakness. What do you think?
