The only possible problem would be with the top line of the code, because everything else is right.
Double check when typing it in I guess.

Those items won't do anything if the events aren't activated in the GBA game.
 
With a Nintendo Event or a GBA action replay/gameshark.

I know that there is no code that will let you catch any pokemon in XD, but is there one that will make all trainers pokemon shadows? Also is there a code in XD that will make a pokemon shiny.
 
Thats a solid, No to both of those. However, in XD, if you are willing to be patient, there are PokeSpot Pokemon modifier codes, these will modify what appears in a particular pokespot, and what levels you can catch them at.
