I've asked this on the Q&A thread of this section of the forums, but I didn't get the in-depth answer that I wanted.

Usually, I'm not the one to use cheat codes. I've been cheat-code sober for well over five years. But, because of my demand to have my favorite Generation I Pokemon on my FireRed party (composed of only Generation I Pokemon, by the way), I am willing to somehow obtain an action replay in any means necessary (I really only want to borrow one just to obtain it, but I don't know anybody who has one). So, I'm asking if there is a decent Action Replay code that allows me to be able to capture a legit Mew in the wild. I don't mind if it acts like one obtained in a trade as long as it will be obedient after earning the required number of badges. I would also like to know where could I obtain an Action Replay for cheap that will work with Gameboy Advanced.

Thank you and sorry if this thread is inappropriate and may need to be closed down for its lack of activity or the mention of the c-c-words.

Usually, an Action Replay comes pre-loaded with codes to find any pokemon in the wild, at the level it would be in that area.

Like, say, you used the code for Mew, just after Pallet Town, all the pokemon would be level 2-4 Mews, with Legit stats.

Same with any other pokemon, so you could use it to legit Gen 1 pokemon.

If not, it's usually pretty easy to find a list of AR codes, and Ctrl+F-ing for Mew/any other pokemon.

About buying one, I'd try on the internet somewhere, I got mine years ago from Gamestop, and they don't sell them anymore :/

Thank you so much. Would it be recommended to buy a used Action Replay from eBay? I just fear that those Action Replays may be pirates...

I suggest you look in a Future Shop. That's the most likely place you'll find a legit one. (E.G. Broken AR from eBay.)

I suggest reading the rules and not reviving a thread over a month old. This one is over a year old. :/
