[Question] Adding items Help (evo stones)

So I started off trying to use the CFRU to work on one of my first hacks (Second actually) and while I was doing okay, I got discouraged and dropped it (Multiple times) Especially when editing a script or something along those lines, completely breaking everything I had progressed to that point. So taking a step back i decided instead of making a grand hack that competes with RR, BE, ER, Vega, Gaia ad the likes, why not just do something simple? I know how to edit maps and Advance Map is a useful tool. I can makes sprites, and and gen III suite is great for pokemon editing. G3T is great for adding fairy type (Since Suite does not work on that front, but it is just a simple task of going to give the pokemon that are fairy a fairy typing after I add all the pokemon)

So that part is done, but I am stuck. You see, I need more evo stones. I (Like many hackers) Wish to remove trade evos. Some pokemon just need to be leveled up (Like Machoke, Kadabra, Graveler and Haunter) but then there are those with split evos. (Like Poliwrath and Politoed) I could just turn king's rock into an Evo stone but i don't want to. Esecially since Adding a SHINY STONE would allow me to not only give access to a retyped (Water/Fairy) Politoed, but i can also use it to evolved Eevee into sylveon, Togetic in Togekiss and Snowrunt into frosslass.A dusk Stone would allow me to keep other evos the same method as well and Ice stone would allow me to use it for Glaceon. Now i have the item sprites already. But I don't know how to add them. I don't want to get too advanced on this and I would rather not use a method that would end up breaking the game.

In addition, i want to add TMs, Primarily double the list. While it is currently a primarily vanilla FR rom hack (Just added pokemon, added fairy and changed gym leader teams) It is still pretty vanilla. (I figured get the base game done before going for a huge ma overhaul)
Now the TM thing, I have 18 gyms planned. Now only 8 needed to complete the game, but every gym will give you a TM and maybe a pokemon (Like the first evo of the Leader's ace?)

So that is where I am at currently. Just want to add Evo stones, and maybe TMs if possible. (TMs not as important at the moment, evo stones are)

There are also a few things down the road as well like not needing to teach surf so long as you have the badge and the HM (Like RR) Maybe there is a patch for that.
And maybe a hotfix for gen 3 mons not evolving when they are supposed to. (Not sure if still an issue but i remember using my gameshark to get a treeko ad it would not evolve.)
RESOLVED: Randomizer comes to the rescue. Does not fix the "No need to teach HMs" but did fix the national dex at start thing.

So without using decomp or hex editing, how do I add more items? (There is also another option which could be adding items that do not play a role such as Sapphire and ruby (Erasing the sevvi island event and using them as extra maps) but i still would like to know how to at least change the sprite if I use that method.

"I'm genna make a small game."

"I have 18 gyms planned." made me laugh.

Making TMs is easy, just copy paste any TM in the item PBS and rename it to TM 101 (or whatever) and change the move to the one you want it to be. If you want to create new moves that's more difficult.

I think evolution stones should also be easy (but I haven't tested them). I think you can just go to the item PBS, copy/paste any old evolution stone, rename it to "Shiny Stone" (or whatever you like). The important thing to change is the individual pokemons evolution method in the PBS. Just include the Shiny Stone, and it should be good to go.

I think the "Shiny Stone" may also require a graphic named "SHINYSTONE" in graphics/items. (just copy another stone and rename it, or recolor it in photoshop). TMs however don't require a new picture I'm pretty sure.
