I think it may be your connection. From what I've found, Opera is the fastest browser out there.

No it doesn't. Opera has a good support for standards. The problem lies in the browser sniffing, where Opera canlook like IE or Firefox even though it's not.

Opera is terrible with CSS support. It's accepted as the worst of the lot~
