Admin: Dream or Nightmare

If I was an admin on PC (with some sorta power) I wouldn't know what to do with myself. I'd have to find something to contribute with.
Lol@mewthree's status. xD

Well, it varies. Though the supporters think that they're paying for the community, they're really helping us keep our jobs. Without them, we wouldn't be here so they are the prime factor in keeping the community together.

For every thread I lock, I get about $1.50.
For every infraction I hand out, I get about $6.00.
For every time I warn someone for a random thing that's against the rules, I get the satisfaction of warning said person(?) and about $3.00.

But for every moderator, it really varies of how long you were here modding. As per being an admin, I'm perfectly fine with being a moderator right now.. since I only became one about a week or so ago. But to answer your question, yes, yes we do get paid. Pay checks actually get mailed out tomorrow in case you were wondering. :]
That wasn't serious, right? Lolscarywageforyouyougetmoremoneywithsomeinfractionsthanivegotinmylifesavingslolifthatstrue

Anyway, if it was sudden, I'd be liek omgwtfbbq and be like I'm on crack for the next 96 hours before calming down and quitting.

If it was gradual, I'd prefer to stay mod, thank you very much. I might just act shabby on purpose. xD

I'd definitely jump at the call should it ever be made, which is...highly unlikely given my past history here.

I don't care if I become unpopular. I don't care if my actions appear to be totalitarian. Just drown out the n00bs, ignore their insipid queries, and disregard their futile demands. Just carry on with what must be done for the greater good of the community, even if it means taking a thousand n00bs out into a forest and disposing of them in the only way possible.

Don't forget; monthly $5.00 bonus for every rep bar you have at the end of the month and $8.00 for finding a legitimate excuse to ban any member listed as 'undesirable'. ;D Imma' bounty hunting this year and the big bucks are going to come rolling my way. You just wait and see.

As for admining? Whoa...yeah, can't imagine what that would involve well enough to give an educated opinion on that. I only started modding last year, and though I've gotten fairly comfortable with that, it would be...quite the leap to suddenly have the entire forum as my responsibility. Yeeeah, no. If I ever become admin somewhere, it will be by going through each and every one of the lower ranks first. I'd much prefer to try things out step by step and see how far my abilities can really carry me, which would be the only sensible polciy for this sort of thing. If someone were to say that they wanted me as an admin right off the bat (excluding the capacity of founding staff for a new forum, obviously), I'd have to decline because I couldn't trust such an irresponsible authority figure to do a proper job as my superior, really.

I'd make up some new rules mbe and then i'd go and change idiots names who annoy me and freinds (6 :P) Er then i'd go and then i'd possibly lock all the stupid threads blablabla ect, Note the next peice of information i'm working on :P
Spoiler:
that's about it i think.....

The first think I'd do is make my profile awesome and get a nice, long usertitle. And then... I don't know. What exactly do Admins do anyway?

I'd hate being an admin on PC, but any other small forums are okay. I'd hate to deal with all of the noobs and I'd hate banning someone if I had to... I don't think I'd be able to ban unless I was realllllllllllllly pissed

I'd assess my usergroup's given privilages and pretty much just be the unpopular admin (not as in hated, just as in nobody knowing me).
I've been an admin elsewhere, so assuming I'd be made a Staff Admin instead of a Site Admin, I know there's really not much to it...

I had to take so much bull on another fairly large forum (PFU) simply as a moderator,

If you thought you had a lovely time, being the admin of that place -- however small it was compared to here -- was just about as fun as sticking a hot fork coated with battery acid into my small intestine. Repeatedly.

While the crowd here seems a bit better, I'll have to say that given the considerable amount of activity PC gets in comparison, the current admin staff must have a lot of balls. I, for one, would be running in the opposite direction before they'd even ask.

I'd probably contribute and join in with the staff in discussion's I suppose.

I really like hosting sites and trying out different boards, it's really good being an Admin if you ask me. Hmm, but if I became an admin of this site then I would give people extra picture album space cuz i've run out of space and i've got more pics, then I would just look around the admin cp and see what they have done to the place. Hmph, i'm really not a bad admin. :)

I am an admin on the Pokerealms (There's light in the Darkness) forums. It can be a nightmare at times, but it can be great at others. I known I wouldn't give up my position, but sometimes, I wish the workload wasn't so much. (But then... we only have 8 or so active members, working on here might very well be a nightmare, we should get an admin (Other than Mork) to post here.
