Hi guys! I got stupid Advance text to finally open up earlier from previous dilemmas, but no, nothing ever seems to want to work for me.
I can't share pictures yet, so I'll try and describe it as best I can.
So basically when I open up a rom, just firered here, everything's working fine. When I go to edit script, though, the only thing showing in the scipt-editing box is [&H3F] over and over and over again instead of the actual words. I tried redownloading the program, trying different roms, the whole shebang without success.
I have no idea why, and it's really frustrating because I really just want to edit the opening, and to my knowledge, there isn't really any other way to do that? I tried replacing the mass [&H3F]s with the dialogue I wanted to appear, like you normally would, but the result in-game was blank text boxes. I also tried googling the problem to no avail, so alas, here is my final resort.
