4th Gen Advice on my team please!

Hi there,

I'm just looking for a bit of help on the best way to go about setting up my team. I'm doing a monotype Playthrough on HG with Water types. Haven't started yet but really just looking for advice and feedback on the team I've planned.

Cloyster
Dewgong
Golduck
Omastar
Quagsire
Tentacruel

Just wanted to use some Pokemon I've never really trained with before, and didn't want to make it too easy by choosing all the best ones!

It looks like a pretty solid monotype team for HG, but the only thing I'd worry about for you is the accessibility of the Pokémon you've chosen. In particular Omastar will take until Kanto to find and Cloyster and Dewgong will take until over halfway through Johto. You've got a heavily Special Attack focused team too so maybe getting a physical fighter like Gyarados or Feraligatr could help.

Hey man, thanks for the reply and advice! That is true, I might consider switching Omastar out for Gyarados perhaps? I'm set on using Cloyster though because I've never used him before and he has really interesting looking stats. I always picked Totodile when I was younger and played the originals as well haha. But Gyarados is a good shout and can be obtained pretty quickly I imagine.
