Age of Darkness

This is a game I have been developing ever since I started with the RPG Maker Series which has gone through many different concepts and stopped and started. But now I have got the motivation and ideas to develop this into completion. So without further ado:

PROLOGUE

Spoiler:

In the forgotten past, a battle of the gods raged throughout the heavens.
The goddess of light, Serenyl. And the god of darkness, Chaos.
Their everlasting battle ceased after an entire lifetime. Chaos, was defeated.
Using angelic light, Serenyl sealed Chaos' spirit in a cursed weapon, the Scythe of Chaos...

A 1000 years later and war ravages the land once more. But not between gods, between mortal men. The two great nations, Ceteria and Ythylias are locked in a great conflict. In an attempt to obtain victory Ceteria sends two of its greatest warriors to locate the accursed weapon of the dark god...​

STORY

Spoiler:

Age of Darkness is the tale of a young boy, Leon, who recently becomes a Knight of Ceteria, one of four Great Nations. He is given many quests from the king and learns many truths and secrets of Ceteria's dark history.
Along with his many friends and companions he meets in his new found life he slowly unravels an ancient conspiracy that can bring about the end of the world.

Leon and his companions realise that they must put an end to this apocalypse which is likely to occur.​

CHARACTERS

Leon Burrows:
Age:17
Class: Knight
Weapon: Sword

'I wanna be a hero! Not just sit around and do errands!

The main hero of Age of Darkness. Leon is an ambitious and courageous young man. He is a citizen of Ceteria and a knight-in-training. His only dream is to become a hero.

Zack Burrows:
Age:25
Class: Vanguard
Weapon: Katana

'I pity you! You care not for others, but just for your own pathetic skin!'

A calm, quiet man and older brother of Leon. He is a powerful warrior and part of the elite Ceterian Vanguard. He abhors fighting and only wishes to use his powerful sword to protect others.

Mordaki Kurts:
Age: 22
Class: Dark Mage
Weapon: Rod

'Why do you act like such an unintellectual amoeba?!'

Mordaki is a protégé. His advanced Dark Wizardry allowed him to graduate from Wizard's Academy at the young age of 16. Since then he became the King of Ceteria's very own right hand mage. His intelligence is without doubt beyond average and is irritated by people acting idiotic around him.

Crystal Luccia:
Age: 17
Class: Essentress
Weapon: Staff

'I can't do this on my own...'

Crystal is a spirited young girl who always has a comforting smile on her face. She has the power to call Essence, powerful spirits who fight for their master. She is what is known as an Essentress, the last of her kind.

Raymond 'Sarj' Sargrand:
Age: 29
Class: Mechanic
Weapon: Hammer

'If it's broken.. I can fix it.'

An easily confused man who has a burning live for cigars and his immense weapon, his hammer. He appears rough around the edges, but is kind-hearted. One thing he hates the most is being called anything other than his nickname, Sarj!

Kira Fey:
Age: 23
Class: Rogue
Weapon: Dual Knives

'As long as I get to keep the treasure, I'm in!'

A self confessed 'treasure hunter' with a short temper. Kira likes anything that sparkles in her eyes and will do anything to take it. She appears cute and timid, but in reality she is hard to trust.

Zias Kinheart
Age: Unknown
Class: Rune Knight
Weapon: Great Sword

'I'll do it in a minute!'

Zias is a mysterious man who fought in the Great War. He carries around a large, golden blade, the length of his body. Surprisingly he is an incredibly lazy man who is likely to take a nap any chance he gets.

This reminds me slightly of Final Fantasy VI and I loved that game :D

The Final Fantasy series have been my biggest inspiration for this game. When its all done there's a small part of me that's wants it to rival all Final Fantasy games. But that is just a dream :P
